American broadcaster Glenn Beck held an inspirational rally "Restoring Courage" in support of Israel and the Jewish people at the Davidson Center near the Kotel Plaza Wednesday. The rally was attended by thousands, many of whom came to Israel with him, and was viewed by many more on a giant screen at Safra Square in Jerusalem and worldwide on Beck's web-based television station.

"What can I teach Israel about courage?" he asked after the audience had risen for "Hatikva", Israel's national anthem, led by famed singer Dudu Fisher, with many waving Israeli and American flags. "Nothing", he said with emphasis.
"I am going to learn courage here. There is more courage in one square mile in Israel than in all of Europe", bringing the audience to its feet. .....

Who will protect your rights better?" Beck asked with passion. "A king? A president or you? Who will protect the truth? The media?" -this last to rousing laughter -"A reporter? A producer? Or you?"
This could also be said about US. Beck is concerned about the impact if Israel is destroyed to freedoms here and the rest of the world.
After the Jesus people are raptured, those cave/sand people are going to pour out a horrible but Godly wrath upon this earth the likes of which has not been documented before, except for John’s glimpse in the Book of Revelation.
These anti-Mormon threads where "Christians" that absolutely know the "truth" show the ignorance of people that accept only their version of being saved.
As a Catholic, by the strict interpretation of the Catholic understanding of the Word of God, not a single Protestant would ever get to Heaven.
Do you "Christians" accept that?
I’m always amused by how “thumpers” are so insistent about being “born again” but breezily ignore the eating of his flesh and blood....
GB has a big pair. I miss his 5pm show and can’t afford to pay to see GBTV. Becktel is a jerk like williams.
As a Catholic, I'm just not Godly enough to pass judgement on others that may or may not meet certain criteria regarding Faith in Christ.
There seems to be so many "Christians" that find fault with Mormons and pass judgement on the Mormon's beliefs.
If you really believe in God, I'm sure he can sort it out without our input.
My neighbor is a Mormon and he is a fine a man as you will find anywhere.
When these anti-Mormon threads get going, my question is, how did I miss the anointing of the new all knowing group of beings, that call themselves "Christians".
You see, here is your problem. “The Catholic understanding”.
I can read. I have my own understanding of “The Word Of God”. I study the bible. I research its meaning. I don't rely on Popes, Cardinals, Bishops, Priests, etc. to tell me what it means. I can think for myself. I have the Holy Spirit to help me understand.
You should try it. I mean, read the “Word of God” for yourself. Pray that the Holy Spirit will reveal the Truth to you. Trust in God, not in “men”. Men are fallible, they have their own agendas.
“As a Catholic, by the strict interpretation of the Catholic understanding of the Word of God, not a single Protestant would ever get to Heaven.”
Wrong. Unless you know something the Pope doesn’t.
And I’m a fan of Flapp Jackson in the Morning this Morning, not this mormonic “Glenn Beck” and his mormonistic mormosities. Flapp Jackson would show this Beck character how to really stand up for Israel...
Freegards
Don’t miss the salient point here. Mormons are not, doctrinally speaking, Christian. If you can’t make that detemination, you need to learn more about your own faith.
That being said, it is the height of hubris to criticize noble unbelievers simply for their unbelief.
Welcome to FR.....slow day at DU?
Why does that matter any more than it matters that Christians believe the only way to heaven is accepting Christ, a belief that says the Jews are damned?
Both are a set of beliefs which are different than Jewish belief. Israelis/Jews can accept the support of anyone who recognizes as Netanyahu said — “Israel is what’s right about the Middle East, not what’s wrong.” That is the belief that must be the same for an alliance to exist.
It doesn't matter a whit to me, I just think it's humorous that Beck's religion think Jews are gentiles.
If youd like to be on or off, please FR mail me.
