Yeah. Well, if not SSS, then SBFC (Shoot, Butcher, Freeze, Cook) is even better - Oh, and yeah, I guess adding Shut Up on that one would be wise, too. SBFCS. If anyone asks, it’s Wagu Beef.

"The charge of killing a threatened species is punishable by up to a year in prison, a maximum fine of $50,000, and up to one year of supervised release."

More STUPIDITY to appease the "Liberal" (newspeak, of course) psychosis!

If the American people do not wake up fast and understand that "Liberalism" is a disease--the disease of decadence--that will destroy the U.S.A.--America will fall! It will be ugly!

What are you? Some sort of kook specieist? You should be ashamed of your virulent specism.

Why would you value the lives of human young more than the lives of ursine young? I cannot believe your attitude here, buster.

Bear is very similar to pork. I use to eat it when I was younger. You just have to cook it well to keep from getting trichinosis.

sure....you can eat most meat....John Huston accidentally ate ‘Long pig’ when filming the African Queen, but unless starving I would avoid cannibalism and feel similarly about eating predators, not so much for the social mores which is what keeps me from being a ‘Hannabal Lector’....but for the simple reason that the higher up on the food chain, a particular animal is, the less nutritious and higher in toxins it contains....and from what I have been told, from people who have visited Korea and ate things like dogs and cats.... carnivores don't taste good.

absolutely.....from the article

He said his son shot one of the bears, then called authorities to notify them of the kill. The other two bears ran off.

He said his son could,SHOULD have just buried the animal and not said anything to law enforcement.

there fixed it

*** They should reintroduce wolf packs and bears to NYC’s Central Park, and jail anybody who “harrasses” them. ***

'They' are already working on that..

Coalition to Restore the Eastern Wolf (CREW)

~~ snip ~~ The Coalition to Restore the Eastern Wolf (CREW) is a partnership of local, regional, and national organizations working together to recover healthy wolf populations in the northeastern United States.

CREW believes that the return of the wolf to the Northeast is an essential part of regional conservation efforts and will help improve the health of wild places. After centuries of being deliberately eliminated, the wolf deserves a chance to return to the land where it once roamed free.

Though having them in NYC is not exactly in their plans. Wolves being Wolves prolly would wind up in NYC's Central Park eventually. And that would be a hoot, like the Coyotes in Chicago.

A few Coyotes now roam around in Chicago's two Lake-front parks: Millennium and Grant Park. (pretty big area)
And it drives the Obama Yuppies nuts when they see one. The calls to the Cops come in by the score.

Typical case of a Libs 'good intentions' going bad. [Like they always do]

If this case is properly presented, it can possibly give te judge/jury a vehicle for overturning the ESA.

No law can infringe the natural law right to self defense.

PS Preventive use of lethal force is legal when humans are killed, so how any jury could rule that some beast has greater rights escapes me.

Oops - I forgot that people with minds capable of arriving at such decisions are Liberals, nor Americans.

We only have the word of the shooter. Many people kill endangered animals for sport and claim self defense. I’d really like to hear the bear’s side of this story.

Yes you can but you might not want to. The meat of any carnivore or any animal that has eaten animal protein will stink like its slightly rotten. When cooking the meat, that smell becomes very strong for a short period, you will not want to be in the house. Fully cooked the smell is gone. Taste wise carnivore is not as good as herbivore by a wide margin. Bon appetit

Not disputing what you’ve said, but I’ve heard that smoked bear hams (i.e. the rump meat) are absolutely delicious. Slightly off-topic, two different people have told me that a skinned bear is eerily close in appearance to a naked human body.

Got proof? Cases, and please be specific, include citations, sources, etc.

Thanks.

Jimbo: You see boys, the Democrats have passed a lot of laws trying to stop us from hunting.

Cartman: Democrats piss me off!

Jimbo: They say we can’t shoot certain animals anymore, unless they’re posing an immediate threat. Therefore, before we shoot somethin’, we have to say ‘It’s coming right for us.’

A Related Story. It turns out this was in Porthill, some five miles from an area that didn't used to be "grizzly territory" but now is because the federal government put them there.

This one has the locals (and I'm one) really angry. The neighbors are behind the guy, the county commissioners are behind him, the Governor is behind him, and on the other side, the Feds who have decided to push ahead with grizzly "re-introduction" at any cost, including the safety and welfare of the human inhabitants. Otter has already told the Feds to pound sand once with respect to the wolf introduction program. That case pales next to this one.
