Pat may be on to something - the Temple destroyed as a sign that Jesus was the Way - the Monument cracking as a sign that Obama and his supporters are not the way...

Pretty much what I was thinking. Never mind Pat for the moment, but if the Monument were to fall during Obama's administration, what a symbol of its failure!

Why that rebuttal to this.......“Now, there’s a crack in it and it’s closed up. Is that a sign from the Lord? Is that something that has significance or is it just result of an earthquake? You judge, but I just want to bring that to your attention.” But it seems to me the Washington Monument is a symbol of America’s power. It has been the symbol of our great nation, we look at that monument and say this is one nation under God."

Right. God did not turn away from man - but man did turn from God and turning at break neck speed.

NY for one - is worse than Sodom and Gommorah. S&G was not even so perverse as to want to marry and their gov’t condone it with making law - same sex marriages! Bizarre, I think, that 2 of the major symbols of DC, the Washington Monument and the (yes, unofficial) National Cathedral are severely damaged, while everything else is more or less unscathed.

To absorb vibrations in rear differentials, FORD used to put a long piece of metal with a lump of vibration deadening material at the end. It would 'dampen' the vibration.

Vibrations have a tendency to travel along(up) something like the Monument or Cathedral Spires, and without a dead mass at the top, they vibrate like crazy.

Perhaps SHAPE has more to do with this than the HAND OF GOD.

It is truly a shame that, instead of being renowned for spreading the gospel and making disciples, Pat Robertson is renowned for putting words into God’s mouth.
