Once upon a time she was regarded as a communications expert of sorts but since the ‘08 election she has sounded like the lost 5th member of the Sex & The City cast, pining for an ideal man who doesn’t exist.
It’s just ironic that Noonan wrote this article. Evidently she didn’t do much research or she would’ve found out that Rick Perry was a cheerleader at A&M, not your ordinary football jock. If you’re going to prattle on about somebody, you’d think one might do a little research.
The reason I can speak about true sons of the soil is that I was raised in a family of them just like Rick Perry. His background is exactly like ours. They have the ability to be aggressive and will set you on your behind with direct speaking when the fight is on, but most of the time they are just gentle giants that can be a little intimidating to those not used to the ‘type’. Rick Perry is the real deal, not a Connecticut implant. He’s going to speak directly, he’s not going to pander to little sensitivities, and he’s going to talk like a Texan, not a smarmy smoothe NEastern Ivy leaguer. The elitists are just going to HATE that.

Noonan got a job writing speeches and a column because she came along when you had to be seen to be hiring girls. She wasn’t and isn’t qualified for either job. Her education at an expensive, no-name private college that is far less demanding than Texas A & M certainly didn’t give her the ability to do serious policy analysis. Yet, she regularly bloviates on politics as if her emotional reactions to candidates had genuine value. The WSJ and other publications that run her column should be ashamed of printing her useless blather.
There are women who actually have something interesting and worthwhile to say, but who are shut out because drones like Noonan, Parker, and others are taking up print space and airtime that they don’t deserve.

Her skill set doesn’t really include policy analysis. She was supposed to write speeches supporting the existing policies.
She thinks that she learned from that. She didn’t. ...and I hate her flowery, over wordy style. It makes me want to throw up.
