y wife and I drove up to Perry, Georgia this morning to attend the Annual GOP fish-fry and straw poll to cast our ballots. According to the Georgia GOP twitter-feed, here are the results:
#GAGOP Straw Poll: Cain 26% Paul 25.7% Perry 20% Gingrich 18% Romney 6% Bachmann 3.3% All Others 1% 24 minutes ago

Shows Romney’s weakness in the south vs. Perry’s strength. Either way, remember, a circus clown would do a better job than Obama.
The MSM has avoided talking about Cain. Will they be forced to now?
Good for Cain.
he’s a good guy.
Paul 25%.....????very surprising..
Not necessarily. The Paulistinians are very adept at packing straw polls and whatnot so as to make RoPaul appear to have support that he does not, in fact, have.
That’s actually an Alinsky tactic.
I agree - when you looked at the GA GOP straw poll today - most people looked like people you would normally see at GOP events - families, some children, mostly middle aged, middle class, with a few “young republican” types. That is Herman’s demographic. Newt’s was mostly older folks, I think. The RP crowd today certainly stood out - a very young, college crowd as well as some, well, hippies.
I know I’m painting with a broad brush, but that’s kind of the “at a glance” feel.
I felt kind of sad for Bachmann, her table was empty. I almost went and got a sticker of hers to put with my HC buttons and stickers.
Maybe some circus clowns are quite enlightened people. Wasn’t there such a clown in the old series ‘’The Greatest Show on Earth’’? The American people though don’t like to admit that they are wrong.
I really hope Cain can gain some traction.
Wow, go Cain! Awesome to see him number 1. :D
