With less than $1 billion currently available for federal disaster assistance, the Federal Emergency Management Agency said Sunday it will temporarily suspend payments to rebuild roads, schools and other structures destroyed during spring tornadoes in Joplin, Mo. and southern states in order to pay for damage caused by Hurricane Irene.

Temporarily my butt. Joplin is conservative, flyover country. They only provided any funds because Gov. Jay Nixon licks Obama’s boots on a regular basis.

Thanks to Obama and the democrats, we do not have enough money to cover these sorts of things now. He has spent it all on stupid ‘jobs’ programs and redistribution. Welcome to communism folks.

Oh...surprise!

“We’ve had storms and the evil Republicans won’t let us raise taxes by a Trillion Dollars to pay for it!”

What is there to pay for? The sand that washed up on the streets and boardwalk can be cleaned up by the companies that own the businesses and the city.

Grab a broom.

If it is a first come, first serve thing, a reading of the article makes it clear where Obama’s ‘priorities’ lay....with ‘blue states’ run by democrats. There really needs to be congressional hearings into WHERE ALL THE DAMN MONEY IS GOING!!

We are just now entering hurricane season and more are bound to hit before the season is up. Many of us in Texas are actually hoping for some kind of tropical system because of the drought.

ENOUGH IS ENOUGH!! The man needs to be impeached!

They are lining their own pockets and the pockets of their supporters. Welcome to the ‘Chicago Way’!

You can bet that this minimal, low-wind, hurricane will cost the taxpayers more than Katrina and any other 2 hurricanes combined because it occurred in blue states.

Bingo! Apparently Obama has signed Puerto Rico’s ‘disaster’ request in the middle of the night while NJ was getting hammered. I don’t think he has signed NJ’s yet...gonna try and make Christie ‘pay’ for being an outspoken critic....just like he did Texas during the fires this summer and the south during the floods.

About 10% of the trees are down around my house.

Not any particular tree, mind you, just a bunch of leaves and twigs from each tree.

Let’s see, at about $10,000 replacement value per tree....carry the two.... I guess about $1,000 should cover it.

Better idea yet: Buss the welfare recipients and 99ers in to do the work. After all, they are already being paid to do nothing. Might as well make them do something for the money torn from the hands of the taxpayers.

But, but -— the liberal view is that making welfare recipients do any work is a form of involuntary servitude.

The liberals hyperventilate anytime that anyone proposes “workfare” as opposed to “welfare”. Something about how you can’t take the “baby mamas” away from their babies. Okay, but what about the “baby daddies”???? Certainly the baby daddies could go out and do some work.
