I disagree. This case is not "clear cut". The shooter was only 14 years old, and was abused by his father. He can't escape harassment at school by this sick classmate, either. No adult helps him and he's only 14 years old! The classmate wasn't "flirting" if his attention wasn't wanted and he knew it was unwelcome.

That's not flirting.

Not that killing was justified..but the little freak asked for a whupping at very least.

Tranny wasn't the victim of bullying but the bullier.

Getting vengeance is settling these sorts of things on a schoolyard. Not killing someone execution-style in the back of the head.

Well, the question for the jury is was it murder or homicide?

See,the elephant in the living room is that the homosexual freaks have bluffed the teachers ,parents, administrators, doctors, some “clergy” , and most media into being afraid to condemn and correct obviously destructive personal behavior that also endangers society as a whole;the freaks have even succeeded in having government give special preferred status to their aberrant choices.

IF the obscene bullying had not been permitted to continue then likely the shooter would not have committed such a desperate act.

Those young people are also fully aware that our soft,feel-good society refuses to punish violent criminal behavior in those under the age of majority. The victim is just as dead when the killer is 17 as opposed to 21,yet the 17 year old will likely only be confined until 21,while the 21 year old will likely be confined twice as long.Only a very tiny percentage of murderers are actually executed for their crimes, and THAT is a crime in itself.

My guess is that there are few people out there that were abused by their father and did not murder anyone.

Imho, that’s actually part of the problem. The propaganda is everywhere.

You say that as if someone who’s 14 isn’t capable of committing murder. This kid was just as much a loose cannon as the other kid. And the reason for that, the kid’s home, his own family who did nothing even though they knew about the abuse, and the school who didn’t step in and put a stop to King’s behavior.

However, at the end of the day, a sane person knows that shooting someone in the back of the head at point blank range is wrong.

This case isn't about them. It's about a 14 year old boy who not only wasn't protected by any of the adults in his life, he was apparently abused by those who should have done everything they could to keep him safe.

The homosexual boy was apparently a sexual bully and budding sexual predator. Is he blameless?

but none of those flaws merits killing him

You deny that he's dead? Or deny that there's a G-d who allow this killing to occur? Which?

I had heard (local hearsay, secondhand hearsay, inadmissible) that one of the shooters motives was to make his father proud of him.

From other things I had heard this “bully” responded to teasing about the way he dressed and acted by such “flirting”. It was a sort of “call me gay and I call you my lover” thing - as an attempt to stop the teasing.

When did a few verbal jousts make one a “bully”? I have been bullied. My older brother was a big time bully. It was most certainly not limited to a few verbal barbs.

Nobody shot my brother execution style either.

I suppose the Columbine bullies were also ignored or protected by the system?

I remember the teachers and administrators who were so “fair” that all parties in any fight or disturbance were punished exactly the same. The question of who was the aggressor or was there any element of self-defense was of no interest to most of them.It was the same on several public scool campuses I attended all those years ago, doubtful if zero tolerance has made it any better.

And notice that movies today feature plenty of shootings and children imitate what they see.

Where did I say that it wasn't wrong? Is this your way of discussing an issue, putting words in others mouths and then debating them?

If so, feel free to carry on your conversation with yourself. Just leave me out of it.

Where were the adults in this? Why was the boy allowed to dress like a girl and be sexually provocative?

I’m not sure we need to have a policy that let’s 14 year old kids walk on a murder rap simply because they claim to be abused.

Where were the adults?

One was apparently beating his 14 year old son and leaving guns where he had easy access to them.

Back in my day a “bully” wasn't someone who said a few things that people didn't like. Like when you called him a fag, he called you his ‘baby’.

A bully engaged in pervasive and unyielding violence, petty theft, destruction of property, vandalism, etc, etc.

Public schools turn a blind eye to bullying because they see it everyday and are powerless to deal with it. It’s the most sickening part of it all. The failure is in how the schools are run. If they didn’t have a zero tolerance policy towards both, I’d imagine it’d become a political shit storm for the school principal or dean when the parents run and cry to the county board of education.

Parents don’t want to deal with the problem at home and the school has to take a hard line or administrators at that school look incompetent. Since it’s very unlikely they can expel the students, all they can do is send them home.

This whole thing is a colossal disgust. The family’s behavior, both kids’ behavior and the school’s profound incompetency.

The trial was followed closely by gay-rights groups that have fought hard to protect gay and transgendered students from campus bullying.

King was merely the Gaystapo's newest tool, their new Matthew Sheppard. That is a worse crime than the actual murder. They couldn't care less about King.

Perhaps you might carry on this conversation with what’s his name. Neither one of you will pay the slightest bit of attention to what the other says, but no matter.
