Mark Belling Conservative Radio Talk Host (Also Guest Host for Rush Limbaugh) on WISN Radio 1130 in Milwaukee exposes a Wisconsin union scam.

Teachers retired and started collecting pension and health benefits have been rehired again as teachers for this year in same school district.

This is double dipping and certainly is costing the taxpayers and also new teacher applicants that didn't get hired at a lower new teacher salary.

It’s happening in Georgia, as well. I have a friend, whose brother taught college and he did exactly the same thing—retired, traveled and came back for some double-dipping.

ALSO a stinkin’ lib, that figures he’s entitled.

This happens all the time all across this country with governmental entities. Same here in Georgia.

I think it’s happening all over the country. The local or state gov’t considers it a cost saving move because the double dippers only get salary but no additional retirement benefits. The gov’t doesn’t have to pay into the double dippers’ retirement fund because they’re already retired.

Just wow. How about hiring younger teachers like two young guys I know who got Ed degrees in the last couple years and are now working in mortgage foreclosure processing.

There’s probably a million public employees all told in this country running some form of the double dipping scam. Was joking about it with a friend of mine who works for the post office - I rattled off a list of ways he could scam the system like this. My friend has too much integrity to do it (he was embarrassed at my suggest, however sarcastic it was) but he responded by rattling off a list of his co-workers who are doing exactly that. And the USPS is relatively clean as far as government agencies go...

Happens in NC all the time. My wife is a teacher and we have friends that are retired in one school district and teaching in another district.

The pension benefit is suspended during the new term of employment ... PS I really don't see why anyone would do that 'cuz it doesn't eliminate the rule changes on your health insurance. Retiring now a person would get the single person coverage WEA plan, which is $#100 deductible and pretty much everything else medical covered.

I'm thinking a game is being played upon the "suspended part. I'll bet dollars to doughnuts someone figured out that by commencing the pension, then suspending it locks the then current rules into effect for the life of the pension. Dunno if that is illegal but if so, then there are conspiracy charges galore.

TIMMY: You double-dipped the chip!
GEORGE: "Double-dipped"? What are you talking about?
TIMMY: You dipped the chip. You took a bite. And you dipped again.
GEORGE: So…?
TIMMY: That's like putting your whole mouth right in the dip! From now on, when you take a chip – just take one dip and end it!
GEORGE: Well, I'm sorry, Timmy … but I don't dip that way. [George takes a chip]
TIMMY: Oh, you don't, huh?
GEORGE: No. [dips the chip] You dip the way you want to dip … [takes a bite of the chip] I'll dip the way I want to dip. [double-dips the chip]

George is a lib

This happens in Ohio all the time as well. It’s usually administrators and coaches. The few regular classroom teachers who do it are usually the worst teachers. The good teachers are usually too worn out to keep going.

There are a couple of teachers doing this in my district-Mequon. (a suburb of Milwaukee). This is likely why teachers are retiring at a somewhat increased level. I have some FOIA requests in the pipeline. Assemblyman Duey Stroebel says he’s going to introduce some anti-double dipping legislation.
The other big scam is the amount of overcharging by WEA (teacher union) The teacher’s union forced school districts to accept no-bid contracts for teacher health insurance. Now that we have Walker’s reforms, some districts have saved 300k/yr by dropping WEA insurance. So think of how much money has been wasted over the last 10 years in the state! It’s criminal. We need a state insurance investigation of WEA.

We have dirtballs in our local government that are collecting 2 pensions and a salary, and working on their 3rd pension. Menial positions are making $200,000 per year.

It sounds like they’re trying to lock in their pension benefits before reforms kick in.

He's a decent stand in for Rush too. Not as good as the good Mark but better than the other one.

The good Mark is too likeable. I'm guessing he won't be doing many more substitutions for Rush.
