CONCORD, N.H. -- More than 25 protesters turned out before a Tea Party Express rally this evening to protest not President Obama, but Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney.
We do not need leadership that puts their finger up, sees which way the winds blowing and then all of a sudden changes their mind and goes back in that direction, Tim Carter, a leader of the Lakes Region Tea Party in New Hampshire. If you look at Mitts past voting record, I think thats what youre going to see.
When you come to less government, which the Tea Party stands for, how could you possibly explain that with Romneycare? Carter said. It doesnt even compute.
The FreedomWorks rally was held before the larger Tea Party Express rally, where Romney was scheduled to speak. FreedomWorks had been active with the Tea Party Express, but pulled its staff member off the Express bus to protest Romneys inclusion in todays event. After holding the anti-Romney rally, it urged participants to join the Express event, held in the same place.

When will Republicans learn to stop eating their own?
Republicans like Romney are exactly why the movement started.
The media desperately wants Romney to be the McCain of 2012.
I believe (and I think they fear it) that a genuine conservative with the guts to challenge the media can beat Obama. But they know that conservatives will not vote for another McCain, making Romney very beatable if the media ass kissing Republican elite can get him on the ticket.
When will Republicans learn to stop eating their own? You're right. We should just go with the one the establishment wants us to go with and shut the hell up. < /sarcasm >
Well, even Ma won’t vote for the guy. What’s the point?
When they learn to stop foisting RINOs on us.
FUMR is one of theirs.
Screw the republican elite leadership... that IS the republican party.

Mitt's 'I was for it but now I'm against it' RomneyCare is a millstone around his neck, it's made him unelectable.
He'll change his policies at any given moment depending on who is listening. Just too fake, plastic and untrustworthy.
Please choose a better nominee. This guy is a phony.
Romneycare = Obamacare which = Big Government
Who said Romney was a "Republican"?
These are conservatives first protesting Romney.
eating their own? O , please...how about standing up for much less government! Romneycare is horrible and he will not admit it.
[When will Republicans learn to stop eating their own?]
Romney, tastes good, less filling!
Romney is NO republican.
I am not a Romney supporter but Republicans protesting Republicans is complete garbage.
Who said Romney was a “Republican”?
He’s more of a Republican than Perry who was an actual Democrat. Funny how even though Romney has been working his tail off the last 6 years espousing Pub causes and backing both monetarily and time-wise Pub candidates all over the U.S., Pubs think Perry is the mecca, when it was he who was actually a Democrat until fairly recently, who is an open borders RINO just like George Bush was on this subject, and who has been a crony capitalist. So you jump all over Romney as wishy washy, when Perry’s past is as an actual Democrat and RINO. What’s the difference in attacking Romney on his past but not Perry? Could it be that Romney is a Mormon and Perry is an evangelical?
We need to protest big spenders in both parties.
Pray for America
That may be true. But 25 people is not impressive.
I don’t think he’s that bad. I won’t vote for him in a primary, but in the general he’s probably better than anyone the GOP’s run in the past 50 years except for Reagan and Goldwater.
The fact that someone that good is the worst choice (I don’t include Huntsman as a real candidate) is actually kind of great.
So was Reagan - so maybe you should leave that argument behind
Perry switched parties over 20 years ago. Reagan was a Democrat until 1962. He was the party nominee 18 years later.
By your reckoning Reagan was too recently a Democrat and should've been defeated.
The Boston Globe closes with their own opinion, disguised as a quote from someone else.
I agree with you. Both Mitt & Ricardo’s records are atrocious. If anything Perry might be the bigger fraud of the two.
No DIDs 2012 (Democrats in Drag).
Mirth is toast!
