I'd zot you but I don't want to start another grassfire.

So I'll just say adios instead.

I’m not a Perry fan, by any means but I split my time between Indiana and New Mexico. Those fires are a big deal and that is where Perry needs to be.

“but he is Governor today and he should be at the helm of his state during this kind of disaster”

I believe the fires have been going on long before he tossed his hat in the ring in an effort to dampen the Ames poll.

He didn’t give a crap about his home state then—it was all about him just like the move to appear “presidential” now.

I never doubted Perry would return. He has not been one to shirk his gubernatorial duties. If things get worse it will be interesting to see if he asks for Federal help again and if Obama denies him again.

Texas is a tinderbox right now, with the drought. This (Perry returning to Texas) is not something to ding Texas or Perry on.

That’s saying a lot considering the source. The palinistas were ranting and raving last night about him being in SC instead of doing his job.

You don't know jack. These fires around Austin just kicked up over the last day or so.

He didn’t give a crap about his home state then—it was all about him just like the move to appear “presidential” now.

I have issues with Perry, but it's asinine to claim he doesn't care about his home state. The hard-core Perry bashers are making fools of themselves by trying to make points out of this.

“That is a ridiculous statement”

I’m sorry. Perhaps I have wrong information. How long have those fires been burning in Texas this summer?

"America is “on fire” and need of help. He must have gotten higher orders from Rove or Romney."

You are NOT really that stupid.

At least we can see whose comment was removed by the moderator.

It's time to stop this. We have a common enemy and it is Obama and the RATS. To hell with them. I want to take them out and I don't care which one of our guys (or gals) does it. We need to keep our eye on the real enemy and go for the strongest one we can get.

By the way, when you are governor of a state, you don’t leave it high and dry mid term to fulfill your own personal agenda.

That is exactly what perry has done!!!

He should have resigned to run for president and left TX with a full time governor.

But he lacks the both the cajones and the ethics to do the right thing.

He must have gotten higher orders from Rove or Romney.

Do you just make up this stupid anti-Perry stuff you endlessly post, or is someone else feeding you this garbage.

There were wildfires out in West Texas and parts of East Texas earlier this year.

These fires really just got going full-bore over the weekend due to the winds from the back side of Tropical Storm Lee.

Everyone, remember Diogenesis and cripplecreek are NEVER to be taken seriously again. They are full of hate and do not even have common decency to realize when people are in real peril.

Perry is absolutely doing the right thing.
