Why Muslims are still mad at America
CNN ^ | September 5th, 2011 | Steven Kull

Posted on 09/05/2011 3:49:20 PM PDT by MinorityRepublican

Men stand near their trucks as they are questioned by U.S. soldiers with the 3rd Armored Cavalry Regiment about the contents in their trucks on July 14, 2011 in Iskandariya, Babil Province, Iraq.

On the ten-year anniversary of the 9/11 attacks, many Americans are wondering whether the risk of a terrorist attack against America has been reduced. The picture is mixed. With the death of Osama bin Laden, al Qaeda is weaker. With revolutions in several Arab countries, frustrations with unpopular autocratic governments — a recruiting theme for terrorist groups - have been mitigated. But one important contributing factor has not improved - widespread anger at America in the Muslim world. While views have improved in Indonesia, throughout the Middle East and South Asia, hostility toward the United States persists unabated.

This does not mean that most Muslims support terrorist attacks on America. On the contrary, overwhelming majorities reject terrorism, including the 9/11 attacks, as morally wrong. Al Qaeda is quite unpopular.

However, anger at America does contribute to an environment in which it is easier for anti-American terrorist groups to recruit jihadists, to generate funding and to generally operate with little government interference - witness how bin Laden operated in Pakistan and the widespread anger there when the Pakistani military failed to prevent the United States from taking him out.

Trying to understand Muslims’ feelings toward America has been the focus of a five-year study I recently completed that included conducting focus groups and surveys throughout the Muslim world. I sat for many hours trying to understand as Muslims explained to me why they are so mad at America.

Muslims do not like about how America treats them. But there is one thing that is the most fundamental: their perception that America seeks to undermine Islam

Damn right we do. At least I do anyhow. Islam is a plague. It needs to be ruthlessly eradicated wherever it appears.

A bully religion containing a mandate to take over the world, by force if necessary, now, is not happy about a country that stands up to the bullying.

Let’s say we agree to disagree.

Muslim’s are “mad” (in both senses of the word) to begin with. That’s a given, America doesn’t have anything to do with it. Just ask the rest of the world how they like their muslim communities. They are a plague on civil societies.

When I think of Muslims, I think “terrorist”. Islam requires Muslims to kill infidels (including you & me) and that it’s OK to lie to infidels. On that basis you can’t trust anything they say.

Anyone remember what Elijah did with the prophets of BAAl?

I told a priest that Islam is the modern day appearance of the ancient religion of BAAL. That is after he told me that Islam was a religion of peace.

Probably the best that can be hoped in the near term is to undermine the extremist elements in the Islamic world, the ones that take the Koran literally and let their jihads send them to literal war against the civilized world.

Not in Libya where financing, training, arms, supplies, intelligence, and air cover provided by the US and NATO has allowed them to takeover half the country.

We smashed AQ in Iraq, but I guess that doesn't matter as much as killing its impotent figurehead as he watched Price Is Right reruns on a black and white TV in his filthy hovel.

IM educated O ...

muslims practice Islam which is submission.

They're every strand of fiber is woven with submit.

We in America are free ... our faith in God is free, our way of thought is free.

Islam and America are diametrically opposed to one another and Muslims should not (have been) allowed to openly practice a form of government in direct opposition to ours.

Oh ... do you think I'm confusing politics with religion?

THEY'RE not.

We must be on guard because the boy muslim king has comparatively hours left to (figuratively) live in the White House, and he's kind'a gotten to like the idea of being there.

He ain't goin' away easily.

War has been openly declared on free Amderica and we patriots will soon be called on to make a stand.

I just read an arabic language jihadi board that is claiming that al sadr is going to begin ethnically cleansing Iraq. They intend to strike and kill ALL sunnis, beginning with hospitals. They intend to capture or kidnap sunni doctors from Khadimiyah hospital first to make an example of them.

Hell, on 9/11/01 at 11 a.m., all their asses would’ve been kicked out of the country (yep, goodbye citizenship too, the quran comes before any constitution or countries rights).

The Shinto temples were taken out for a reason. We didn’t build the Japanese more here or let them walk around talking smack... as if their murderous behinds had lost their families when their brethren crashed jets into buildings, shot soldiers/recruiters, etc..

Where are the men in this country?

I had to.

Still mad? When were they NOT mad? I keep being told that they were mad and that’s why they were launching terror attacks. Someone draws a cartoon and they are mad. Some pastor burns a Koran and they behead UN aid workers. Some are still upset at the crusades, for goodness sake. They weren’t upset when Russia was in Afghanistan, but the USA being there has them ticked.

When are Muslims not mad?

I hope the next president isn’t ignorant. I believe Bachmann is up to speed on what they are doing, as is Palin. Cain has a way to go yet. I like Cain but he’s got to understand what makes Islam tick at least as well as Cheney did before he would be effective at defending against it.

Why Muslims are still mad at America

WHY DO THE NATIONS HATE ISRAEL?

THE NATIONS HATE GOD There is a very simple explanation to this question. The nations hate God. Because they hate God, they also hate his word, the Bible, and his people, the Jews. After all, there is nothing quite so upsetting to the Postmodern ear, as to hear of a universal standard of truth or a "chosen people." But perhaps the real focus of this great and ancient hatred is God’s Messiah. The term "Messiah" is simply the Hebrew word for "Christ." This hatred comes out clearly as we read the rest of Psalm 2. It says: "The kings of the earth take their stand and the rulers gather together against the LORD and against his Anointed One [Messiah]. ‘Let us break their chains,’ they say, ‘and throw off their fetters.’ The One enthroned in heaven laughs; the Lord scoffs at them." (Ps. 2:2-3). The world wants nothing to do with the fetters of Israel, or of God’s word. Yes, the nations hate God, and they hate Israel. But primarily, they hate the Messiah. This is the problem with the restored Israel. It reminds godless nations that there is a God and that his prophetic word has come true. It reminds them that God has installed his Messiah on Zion’s holy hill (Ps. 2:.6). In this Psalm, God even calls him "my Son" (2:6). Israel reminds the sinful world of God’s rule, and of his laws. People today hate these ideas. Thus we see that anti-Semitism, at its heart, is anti-God, anti-Bible, and antichrist.

The modern secular land of Israel isn’t the concentrated chosen nation of the times of the Psalms — it embraces non-Jews without even asking them to accommodate to Jewish customs. But even the Jewish element in it, and its Zionist hope to one day be that biblical land again, is enough to raise Islamic ire. And there are theological disputes between Judeo-Christianity and Islam over the meaning of Israeli holy sites, which even alone would guarantee squabbles.

On the contrary, overwhelming majorities reject terrorism, including the 9/11 attacks, as morally wrong.

This is simply a lie. Every survey and poll out there shows strong support, in every Muslim country--and amidst Muslims in the West--for terrorist groups attacking Israel. This even among so-called "moderate" Muslims.

Yes, many don't support al Queda type terrorism against the USA...(as they know we'll hit them back, HARD?), but for some reason Muslim peoples have no problem with blowing up school-buses full of JEWISH children, and for some reason, their Western allies don't seem to take note of that...

Not with this Islamist sympathizer in the White House. The Bush administration DID thwart terrorist plots in the US and UK.

PASSENGERS and BY-STANDERS have thwarted terrorist plots in the Obama administration. Additionally the Obama administration has downplayed successful domestic attacks on his watch claiming they were just lone nut actions with no ties to international terrorist goals.

Well, yes I suppose it does IF you observe that Islamic nations are intolerant of other faiths, push towards theocractic rule, and our Constitution defends our basic human right to a freedom OF religion.
