With the official end of the U.S. military’s ban two weeks away, gay-rights activists are pressing the Pentagon for more than just the right to serve openly.
An underground group of gay personnel says it has won permission from at least two military branches to let it distribute its magazine, Outserve, on bases.
In addition, the Servicemembers Legal Defense Network, which led a long fight in Washington to repeal the ban, has written to Defense Secretary Leon E. Panetta urging him to extend military housing and other benefits to the same-sex spouses of personnel.
“Provisions in the Defense of Marriage Act and other laws prohibit the Department of Defense from extending certain benefits, such as housing and transportation allowances, to same-sex partners,” said Pentagon spokesman George Little.
“But a same-sex partner can be designated a beneficiary, for example, for life insurance. The department continues to examine benefits to determine any that may be changed to allow the service member the discretion to designate persons of their choosing as beneficiaries.”
At this point, the military does not plan to recognize same-sex marriages, citing the act signed into law by President Clinton that defines marriage as a union between one man and one woman.
Under the Obama administration, the Justice Department this year decided not to defend the law against court challenges, but the Pentagon says it plans to follow the Defense of Marriage Act.
Aubrey Sarvis, director of the Servicemembers Legal Defense Network, said in his group’s August letter to Mr. Panetta that “we fully understand” that the Defense of Marriage Act prevents him from extending all benefits offered to married heterosexuals.
However, Mr. Sarvis identified 11 benefits that he says the law permits if regulations are changed, including military family housing, access to commissaries and exchanges, marriage and family counseling....

That's their mental problem. They cannot be sexually satisfied, no matter what they try. They try a same sex partner, but that doesn't last. They move to mutable partners. That fails. They dive into drugs, and into sadomasochism, but even physical pain doesn't get them off anymore.
They're angry, they're bitter, and they want to take down as many people as they can any way they can. The more they can make other people as miserable as they are, the less they think about their own dysfunction.
This is why they're out to destroy the thing we normal people love the most - our children.
Giving more to these misfits will never help them. In fact, it feeds their abnormality so they continue their "feeding" frenzy, until they commit suicide, get their "partners" to murder them, or die of a homosexually transmitted disease.

This is a golden opportunity for the true soldiers, sailors, and Marines in the Pentagon: Take names. The opportunity to flush and fumigate the services of a whole bunch of perverts and weak officers is not far off.

All of the crap foisted by 0kaka and his assistants needs to be undone. Who will undo it? Where are the Republicans? They have a majority in the House. Why are they dead silent? They could have de-funded the repeal of DADT. The leftists want to destroy the military. Mentally ill sexual perverts do NOT belong in the military. They've harmed every military they're in. Congress heard expert testimony in this regard, I've posted the links many times. Sickening.
One of the things that bothers me greatly about all the Repubs is that none of them speak out against the tyranny of the homosexual agenda. What's wrong with them? Bribed, blackmailed, chicken****, or on board with the agenda?

The opportunity to serve in the U. S. military forces is a privilege. It is not and has not ever been a “right.” Exercising this privilege should not be conditioned on social engineering or other socio-political considerations.
Massive, possibly irreparable harm has been done to the military establishment of America.
There are rules for declaring someone a dependent. If fags can do it with out being married. Standby because you will have a flood of normal people unmarried demanding benefits. I know members providing 100% of support for parents or siblings who cannot claim them as dependents. Recognize unmarried fags and the flood of claims will cost billions. Also competition rules may prevent fags from using commissary and exchange.

This, this, this!!!! I have been saying all along it won’t be the homosexuality itself that will destroy our military. It’s going to be the constant litigation from homosexuals and the constant threat of being sued or court-martialed for either harassment or discrimination, so commands will be SOL no matter what they do.
There used to be a ban on wearing your uniform while on active duty to politic at a political event. That will end and they’ll soon be in ‘gay pride’ parades.
In a couple years you’ll see special , all-gay honor guards at the opening of MLB baseball games and such tp show how PC they are.(complete with rainbow flag next to Old Glory)
We’ve got to quit worrying and playing defense. Tell them the sodomy law will be enforced. Introduce hundreds of little laws aimed at the homosexuals. Make them react. No public displays of affection, and a barracks and military housing are public.
(a) Any person subject to this chapter who engages in unnatural carnal copulation with another person of the same or opposite sex or with an animal is guilty of sodomy. Penetration , however slight, is sufficient to complete the offense.
(b) Any person found guilty of sodomy shall be punished as a court-martial may direct.
Note that only Congress can change the UCMJ.
It’s just about love. There’s no political, moral or financial agenda behind this. This is just part of the Big Three that the Democrats trot out every time they get into trouble to muddy up the water. There’s going to be something about cutting the military budget and gun control, too. Republicans should ignore this and keep hitting them with the economy and unemployment. Why trust the Democrat idiots on social issues when they can’t run a snocone stand? Lots of talk from the Democrats, but damn little accomplished.
Well, it WAS the greatest fighting force the world had ever seen.....Sad.
But understand that this entire situation is pure hyperbola. It's a smoke screen for a more insidious issue. Individually gays may want in the military and make it hell on straights, but the political agenda is much larger.
Take a look around. Notice that while the right has it's share of money, a lot of the truly big money is supporting the left. There's a reason and that is the eventual downfall of the U.S. I refuse to believe that Obummer could be a total moron and achieve the office he now holds. There has to be an agenda, and in my opinion, it's to facilitate a single world gov't. No more separate countries. One world, one rule.
So while everyone is pissing and moaning about their particular agenda, obummer is destroying this country bit by bit and dragging us down to the level of third world powers so that the final integration is easier to accomplish.
