I wanted to let you know that President Obama will be visiting Richmond this Friday, September 9 to give a speech at the University of Richmond. Doors will open at 8:30 a.m.
Members of the general public are invited to attend this event, but tickets are required and space is limited. Tickets are free and will be distributed in person on a first-come-first-served basis IN ADVANCE on Thursday, September 8, 2011 from 3:00 - 6:00 p.m. at the following location:
Modlin Center Lobby University of Richmond 50 Crenshaw Way Richmond, VA 23173
Further information is available available on the University of Richmond website at: http://www.richmond.edu/obama. Note that tickets will be distributed at the lobby of the Modlin Center for the Arts, not the box office.

I think all politicians, current, past, hopeful....should be banned from any public education institution that takes TAXPAYER money.
Wife & son are UR grads, but I know they wouldn’t think of going. I wouldn’t go if they begged me.....even if I could take my barf bag.....
Uh, no. This little campaign junket is costing the taxpayers $$$$$. Maybe UR and give him a diploma like Columbia, Harvard and those other schools he happened to drop in on once.
Wife and I both graduated from UR. This is just another reason not to support the University of Richmond.
