$450 billion?! It was only $300 billion the day before yesterday. By next Monday it will be another $800 billion “shovel-ready” disaster.
This seems so half-hearted. WHY NOT have the details ready, unless they aren’t ready yet? The not read for primetime President is at it again.

Here in the northeast we have plenty of construction work that needs to be done on our roads, bridges, and tunnels; we just don’t have the money to do them. This nonsense about foreclosed homes just shows how removed from reality our foreign “president” is.

Just doesn’t work. Anyone with a private business background or has been around government contracting knows:
- 10 to 20% or more gets stripped off to pay for more lazy government workers, because the current lazy ones claim they have too much to do. So more fraud and waste.
- Government contracts “normally” get awarded to companies already in business with a past performance and with already hired workers. Success breeds success in government contracting. So no or few “new” jobs.
- IF (and a BIG IF) it gets funded the money is probably good for only the fiscal year it gets authorized. Contract awards usually take 6 to 9 months. Since we will likely only have a Continuing Resolution (CR), it won’t get funded. That’s a good thing! But the One will probably try to count that as a savings in the budget discussions.
This was all political and the GOP walked right into the trap again. The GOP should have demanded the speech in advance and give it to the MSM with the explanation of why they would not attend.
Better yet, they should have never invited Obama to their floor.
I believe its all a sham to shuffle billions of dollars into unions that will then become political donations to buy Obamas re-election.
Its been shown beyond any doubt that almost everyone is losing faith with Obama, but that alone will not guarantee he cannot be in the Whitehouse another four years.
Money can buy almost anything if you have enough of it.
Or anyone.

Someone said it well this morning. The GOP did have good ideas that Obama/democrats refused and when the GOP got any press on one idea; the democrats put the granny being pushed off a cliff in a wheelchair commercial out.
