“Did Biden give President Bush credit?”
Yes, it was very good and well-deserved-—the best part of Biden’s speech and one of the best moments of the program, besides seeing Bush and Laura and listening to Bush’ speech.
His speech started better than Clinton’s, too - he mentioned that he knows what it’s like to get that unexpected phone call. His son is in the military, so that’s a constant fear.
Then cried again during the Sarah McLachlan song.
I missed it, will check later if the video runs that long.

Yes, he did - he said Pres. Bush held our country together after the attacks. It was nicely done, which I hate to say about anything Bite Me does.
I had the same thought--hate to give Biden credit but he did give a good speech.

Might have missed a word here and there but I listened to Clinton, Bush and Biden — and heard no mention of “service.” They spoke of heroism, of courage, defending America. Good on ‘em all.
No need to tart up a 9/11 memorial with talk of “service to the nation.” It’s political theater to do so, and only detracts from the actual meaning of the event.
