The people being memorialized were more than just victims.
Was the design ever altered, or this Memorial STILL a Mosque?
Yes, heroes!! We are remembering heroes at all 3 of the “Ground Zeros.”
I don’t recall any either. Their first reaction was to worry (and whine) about “backlash.”
I see the program is running late. Since Bubba is supposed to be there, I assume he is the one running late. We know President Bush is never late.
The band has run out of pieces to play. They’re just sitting there on stage.
Okay, Bubba’s finally arrived.
CSPAN is showing it.
I would expect it in a camera pan of a Rush Limbaugh TV audience and to a lesser extent of a Tea Party gathering but why is this event so WHITE?
Of hundreds of attendees, I see only one black person. What drives this phenomenon?
Prayer?
Probably because there was nothing free to give out.
Who is this dude? Sounds foreign. Also, did the emcee fail to introduce President Bush...? I am multi-tasking and may have missed it.....
I’d prefer a man of the cloth instead of some poet, but oh no can’t have that (unless one appears, then I will retract).
I don’t know.... I love the expression on President Bush’s face listening to this idiot speaker who worries about the insects who died in the downing of Flight 93. Unbelievable how tasteless this is so far....
The “poem” is a translation.... uh, from what language.
He couldn’t find an English-speaking writer to quote?
Get off the stage, idiot.
Paganfest
Were the Flight 93 Heroes awarded civilian Medals of Honor? If not, they should have been.
Why does ‘the poet’ read the names of the heroes? Doesn’t seem the right one for the honor.
I was doing other things but the poems I heard were not by Americans. Are there no American poems that would have been appropriate?
Considering that they want the crescent moon and star of Islam as the basis for this “memorial”, I am just thankful they dont have a freakin Muslim reading the names!
No doubt. They were the first to rise up and fight back. True militia and patriots, every one of them.
