The U.S. and Turkey are discussing how to continue cooperation against terrorist targets in northern Iraq after U.S. forces leave Iraq in December, including the possibility of basing Predator drones in Turkey, a U.S. official said Sunday. The official spoke on condition of anonymity because he wasn't authorized to discuss the matter publicly. The U.S. currently is sharing Predator surveillance data with Turkey as part of a joint effort to combat the Kurdistan Workers' Party, or PKK, which the U.S. considers a terrorist group and whose fighters have launched cross-border attacks into Turkey from northern Iraq. Ah, we had one pro-American region in the entire Middle East outside of Israel: Kurdistan. This will end that.
My question is, what do we get from Turkey in return for killing Kurds for them? Nothing. It’s an insane policy and shouldn’t even be contemplated.
Turkey is apparently under the rule of a man who believes the world will end in 2038. He is apparently as backward and deranged as Iran’s Ahmedinijad and Turkey is threatening acts of war against our strongest ally in the region, Israel. What the hell is wrong with our government and military that we would even consider supplying leading-edge military technology to this country?
How 'bout we gather up our world-wide marbles and come home?

It’s the Turks that are terrorist threat. They are intent on aiding the PA against Israel which could be a big problem after the UN vote on PA independence. The PA will declare independence and ask for Turkish help no matter what the outcome of the vote.The Israelis are considering helping the Kurds and Armenians right now.
Maybe the drones could be made to remotely self destruct if Turkey behaves badly.

we on this site all know this is not just a bad idea, it is part of the nobama muslim caliphate plan. but the rest of the USA either won’t be aware of it, or will think, ‘this is good, we are playing nice’ with turkey.
