There is a port north of Prince Rupert which is already set up to handle this. Edmonton already has refineries, and there are others in Alberta. It would make sense to build more and keep the jobs in Canada.

This leaves out the fact that Bakken oil is being trucked into Canada to 'thin' the tar sands crude to make it travel better on the pipeline.

As the pipeline would pass through the neighborhood, so to speak, feeder lines for Bakken Crude as well would provide additional options for transporting crude in an area where the infrastructure for oil transport has been overwhelmed by new production.

Currently, oil is being shipped by rail and trucked as well as being pipelined from the oil fields of North Dakota, and additional transport capability would be welcome for producers here as well.

In July, North Dakota was producing over 400,000 BOPD from over 5700 producing wells link, and there are over 190 rigs drilling.

1. Canada’s oil production is rising, Mexico’s is falling.
Obama will go with Mexico vice Canada, less oil is good.

2. U.S. oil production is rising, but we will still need to import oil, and lots of it.
Obama hates oil, hates America and will do what he can to prevent any additional oil in America

3. Some of the oil moving through the Keystone XL will likely be exported, but that’s no reason to stop it. Obama will make sure all of it is exported.

4. The pipeline will help America’s balance of trade. Obama hates trade unless it’s between any two countries except America.

5. U.S. oil demand may be relatively flat,
Exactly the way Obama wants it.

6. Like it or not, oil is here to stay.
He doesn’t like Oil and will do anything to end using it.

7. We should be getting as much oil as we can from as close to home as we can.
Obama is dead set against any US oil production or getting it cheaper and or making it cheaper.

8. The claims about the pipeline being the pivotal project with regard to carbon dioxide are not true.
Don’t tell Obama that, this is one of his key points against it.

9. Demonize oil all you want, but coal is the real issue when it comes to carbon-dioxide emissions.
Obama is trying to get rid of both

10. Obama can’t afford to hand a major campaign issue to his Republican opponent.
Everytime he openes his mouth he hands a major campaign issue over to republicans. Nothing new here .

So I just disproved all of the reaons.
