Jewish voters tell David Weprin where to shove his yarmulke
The Daily Caller ^ | 9/13/11 | Adam Brickley

If the polls are right, the voters in the solidly Democratic New York City district that Anthony Weiner represented until earlier this year are about to elect long-shot Republican businessman Bob Turner to Congress.

Of course, this will be read by Republicans as a sign that the Obama administration has lost support even in bluer-than-blue areas (which is partially true) and written off by Democrats as a fluke produced by the highly irregular demographics of New York’s Ninth District (also partly true). However, both of those blanket statements mask the true reason that Bob Turner will win this race — and the national implications of this vote going forward.

If Turner wins, it will not be because Obama has lost blue-state America entirely. Although the president’s sagging numbers set the stage for this moment, local dynamics are also at play. The Ninth District, which includes parts of Queens and Brooklyn, has an extremely high concentration of Orthodox Jewish voters. Traditionally loyal Democrats, these voters now appear to be driving the Turner surge. And it’s not just Obama and his policies on Israel that they are repudiating. While Obama has a jaw-dropping 31% approval rating in the district, many voters are equally incensed at the New York Democratic Party and Turner’s opponent, David Weprin, for supporting New York’s gay marriage law.

Unfortunately, the 9th district is about to be re-districted out

Maybe, but the Orthodox Jews that live there will be districted somewhere. And theres lots of them in Brooklyn and Queens County.

Obamski's policies towards Israel are beginning to sink in among NYers, albeit slowly.

Well, so what? It’s there right now and more importantly than getting a Republican vote out of it, it will cause the RATS to spend money on other districts with similar demographics and that, in turn will mean that they have less money to spend on “competitive” districts currently held by Republicans. Quoting our “illustrious” Vice President, Joe Biden. “This is a big fxxking deal.”

Geez, its taken long enough. But then how a group of religious people could ever vote for America's anti-religion party, has been a mystery to me for years. I just hope that the open and blatant support for the "Palestinians" has finally opened their eyes.

Now to convince hispanics.

“Then they’ll start getting dangerous.”

These aren’t your fire-breathing, ax handle-wielding 1930’s leftists, Mr. B.

The American leftist today is simpering, bed-wetting, poodle-kissing, white flag-waving simpleton. And they hate, hate, HATE guns, especially for themselves.

These leftists are certified surrender monkeys, all gift wrapped and waiting for any enemy to roll them off the cliff and into hades.

A leftist recruiter could go to a dozen liberal cities and try to raise a Lincoln Brigade to fight, and he’d be lucky to enlist a single squad.

...at some point, the left is going to start to realize that it is their IDEOLOGY that is being rejected.

I have to disagree

If you mean "the left" as in hard left barking moonbat Obama knee pad worshipers.

Their ideology simply is not to be questioned.

Even after literally dozens of failed socialist/Marxist/Commie hell holes have been dumped on the ash heap of history, they believe with only enough time, money and dead bodies can their ideology bring the glorious results it so richly promises

Of course with them as the leaders

So yes they are very dangerous

I will be shocked and amazed if Turner wins. I really think the pollsters love to create these kinds of expectations for the GOP and then crush them with the election result. It is the old story of Lucy and the football. I hope I am wrong, but I just don’t see it happening. The Dem machine will turnout the votes they need and probably use a little fraud as well.

Maybe our tribe is learning, Nachum. Too bad it takes something as horrific as the Messiah to teach such things.

I think of him with affection. He did send me some nice letters (I was dishing the dirt on William Weld to him).

“Geez, its taken long enough. But then how a group of religious people could ever vote for America’s anti-religion party, has been a mystery to me for years.”

Because before Bob Turner came around, nobody in the GOP even bothered to run a decent campaign here. Our only choice was a Democrat vs Mickey Mouse. So of course the dem will win by 97% of the vote.

In 2010 I first learned that Turner was running just a few weeks before the election because he was mentioned in Weiner’s ads and he still managed to get 40%. We’ve got tons of Turner flyers in the mail for this election but even still, I haven’t heard of a single TV ad for Turner while there are quite a few for Weppy.
