I’m afraid at this point he’ll be martyred.

Nobody is going to remember what he’s done the last four years. Few can recall in much detail any of JFK’s, outside the Cuban Missile Crisis, NASA, and his assassination.

If he’s assassinated, all of a sudden the race card has some heft to it again, he’s still the first black President, and he’ll be remembered for the ‘soaring oratory’ and getting Bin Laden.

They’ll dismantle Obamacare quietly in the courts - the signal will go out to the appointees to let it happen.

Everyone will reset and they will do what they have to in order to bring the economy back. Europe will twist, and Israel will get a reprieve for the moment. Iran will be ignored until it nukes somebody (like Israel, many will hope).

I wonder how much of those green investment funds wound up in the pocket of Obama’s reelection campaign fund? This also make me wonder how many research grant dollars are going to phony researchers who put up the front of doing research. The only research being done is how to scam money from the government. To encourage that the money continues, they will kick in generous campaign contributions to the politicians writing the earmarks.

Yes. I have also thought this may have been some of the “billion” dollars Obama is supposed to raise for his reelection.

Either way, this fake company was definitely a money laundering operation. The FBI was sent by holder to make absolutely sure someone like Breitbart doesn’t get their hands on one of the company’s computer hard drives. Nothing will ever become of this. The FBI has wiped everything clean.

It’s a sad day when you realize Obama has largely destroyed the integrity of our great nation. Corruption on this level can’t be fixed. We are on our way to third world status.

Like maybe because they did nothing illegal.

1. Just because Federal Funds are involved in a project doesn't mean it has to be a Public Bid Opening.
   
2. All it (Fed Funds) means is that in the Specifications have to name three manufacturers for every item.
   
3. And, the Bid Offering go out to at least three General Contractors.
   
4. Then, the lowest Bidder doesn't always get the job. Per the law and standard AIA specifications, and Bid Forms, it's the Lowest Responsible Bidder.
   
5. And that Responsible Bidder is determined by the Owner and his Architect (or, plus any of his Engineers).

So, unless Bid Rigging could be proved, the Owner can pretty much pick anyone he wants. Like a GC he's worked with before.

In a 'previous life' (/s) I was a Chief Estimator in Commercial Construction. 'Bid Day' was so intense it like having marathon sex. And that Day was typically every Tuesday & Thursday w/ Bids due by 1:00 pm

I didn’t know the Solyndra building was subject to GSA regulations.

Most design/build Projects like this are not subject to competitive bidding.

I also have been in the system and know how the GSA and bidding can and is compromised.

Biden is being set up to take the fall on this, he will resign and Hillary is going to step in and save Obama. The Dems will unite under the new Obama/Clinton ticket in 12.

There needs to be a big push to lay this squarely on the lap of Obama not Biden..... Republicans would be wise to get behind that idea NOW....not later...

Yesterday, Drudge had a link to emails that indicated Biden’ s office was concerned about the wisdom of lending the money to Solyndra.

It’s difficult to see how they could hang it on Biden when his own chief of staff was sending out emails urging that the White House be informed of the poor recommendation for the loan.

Very very nice and very appropriate. I drive by that fancy new factory early every Monday morning and the lights behind the sign are still going full blast while the world knows that the whole thing from day 1 was built on an unsustainable house of cards and cost model. I mean the business case never ever came within 30% of closing at zero profit. A total bleeping fraud from day 1.

When a company starts to get focused on building a beautiful facility more than on making their core product profitable, any breathing person knows they are toast. Saw that happen to Silicon Graphics in Mountain View CA in the late 1990s and once their fancy new campus was built they were no more and Google ultimately picked up their exquisite facilities for a song.

To anybody with a brain, Solyndra was toast from day 1. Of course, that cohort doesn't include nearly anybody in the 0bama Administration.
