James Carville: Obama should ‘panic’

By: Mackenzie Weinger September 15, 2011 06:18 AM EDT

Democratic strategist James Carville has just one word of advice for President Barack Obama: panic.

In a CNN op-ed, Carville said Tuesday’s two special election results are a warning to the White House – and a sign the president must make drastic changes now to stave off the Republican momentum.

It’s time to panic, he wrote.

“People often ask me what advice I would give the White House about various things,” Carville wrote on Wednesday. “Today I was mulling over election results from New York and Nevada while thinking about that very question. What should the White House do now? One word came to mind: Panic.”

Carville said Democrats are “past sending out talking points” and said he would tell the president, “The time has come to demand a plan of action that requires a complete change from the direction you are headed.”

Carville’s advice: “Fire. Indict. Fight.”

Obama must fire someone – “No – fire a lot of people” — because the current team is just not working, Carville wrote.

Hmmm... wasn’t that a LEFTWING pogrom?
The huge amount of deaths in the last century was overwhelmingly the result of LEFTWING (communist) ideology carried out to its fruition.

On October 4, West Virginia holds a special election for governor. The Dem leads in the polls, but not by much, and this is in a strongly-Dem state.

In November 2011 we have gov races in Kentucky, Louisiana, and Mississippi, as well as state legislature elections in Louisiana, Mississippi, New Jersey and Virginia. We will start seeing how well people still like the Dem party.

I just figure that, first and foremost, James Carville is a left-wing lunatic. All else is secondary.

Clearly, the Democrat leaders are putting party over country by continuing to support this assclown.

CONSIDER what happened in 1974....Republican leaders went to Dick Nixon and told him how the cow ate the cabbage—he was going to have to leave, as his support was collapsing....

Hussein’s cult, however, refuses to see the truth: his regime is hurting his party AND the nation.

Just more proof there IS a difference between Democrats and Republicans.

“One man’s perceived incompetence is another man’s agenda!”

Right. It’s his agenda and it is not conducive to a free and prosperous society.

First, when the problem is at the top, firing underlings will not help.

Second, Carville, like most leftists, wants indictments against Wall Street. But, the real problem is in the oval office. With the help of the MSM, Obama has been able to appear pretty much scandal free, while passing out billions in goodies to his cronies. Now, however, the chickens are starting to come home to roost. Scandals, such as Solyndra, and Gunwalker are going to pop big time, followed by numerous others.

Third, there is nothing Obama can do to fix this economy, since his presence in the oval office is a major cause of it. Right now, if you are a business in America, you operate out of fear. You are either a pal of this administration, or you are doing your level best to stay off the radar screen.

This administration, will be spending most of the next 14 moths trying to defend itself, make excuses and blame others - that is not the road to victory.

I wonder if Bambi continues to get more desperate, he’ll descend further into his Southern preacher dialect? Guess it depends on the audience.

On the contrary, Obama can only be viewed as incompetent by someone who believes he wants the USA to prosper. He doesn’t. Obama has a chip on his shoulder the size of Montana when it comes to America. Obama has gotten pretty much everything he wanted. He wants a population in fear with as many dependent on gubmint as possible. He wants businesses to fear him. He wants chaos. He also wants to see the rise of the Muslim world. He got all that and somehow that makes him a fool? Crazy like a fox is more like it. Obama is a lot of things, but a fool isn’t one of them. None of what Obama has done is the result of incompetence. Everything he has done is deliberate.

It is still a bit early. If the economy/jobs don't show significant improvement by Dec/Jan, I think the Dems will be pressuring Obama into early retirement -- shades of LBJ.

They already lost the House. They most probably will lose the Senate. They don't want a three-fer with a nominee who appears destined to lose. Many of them remember Carter and his whopping loss to that actor guy.

Just before the Dem primary season opens, I think the Dems will put enough pressure on Obama that we will see Obama feign illness or 'family concerns' and a decline running. I expect that the Dem leadership are already making contingency plans behind the scenes, and they probably already have a replacement candidate being prepped.

This employment figures increase in a short work week are devastating for Obama, because the indicate things are slowing getting worse, rather than better.

Which election were they watching in that snap? I remember Carville putting the trashcan on his head, just can’t remember how long ago that was.

1994, when for the first time in 40 years the pubbies with newt at the head, took control of the House.

The demonRATs and the msm went nutz, and have been ever since.

Speaking of which....Do you know the difference between Obama and a car battery?

The car battery has a positive side.

Actually, Carville is crazy like a fox. Remember , he is married to Mary Matlin. He is the only liberal/democrate commentator that tells it like it is. He has known the wheels were coming off the bus ever since the special elections for governor in NJ. I believe that was when he wore the paper bag over his head. He is very entertaining to watch.

Also, remember he worked for Clinton. He is not stupid. Bill Clinton was/is extremely smart. Bill was the ultimate grifter/confidence man. Remember: “I feel your pain”. The suckers fell for it. Carville was one of his top advisers.
