A liberal advocacy group is filing an ethics complaint against Rep. Darrell Issa, alleging that the California Republican has repeatedly used his public office for personal gain, The Hill reported Tuesday.
The group, American Family Voices, is planning to file the complaint with the House Office of Congressional Ethics (OCE) ...
This is all a well-coordinated plan, John Hinderaker of the Powerline blog asserts. Those who lodged the ethics complaint make no secret of the fact that they rely on the discredited NY Times story.
That would be the hit piece discussed a month ago in this column that showed the desperation of the left to shield the administration from Project Gunwalker investigations.

So, who is American Family Voices? Powerline continues. We have no idea, of course. They are a 501(c)(4) organization that does not disclose its donor list. [Link added to quoted text.]
Its true, they dont. A search of the nonprofit reporting site, GuideStar, shows an income of $358,437 and Form 990 filings for 2007 through 2009.

PING
Even allowing for vast differences in sociopolitical axioms & paradigms, I’m not seeing how any group would, independent of the perpetrators, move to defend F&F in any way.
Was hoping this article/link would explain the mindset, bent as it may be.
The list, ping
Let me know if you would like to be on or off the ping list
Discredit Issa, knock off a Conservative from/in California, protect their investment in the won. The mindset isn’t that hard to understand.
Psst time to impede their “progress”. Permanently.
To wit: F&F means nothing to them, just protect the Administration at all costs.
[shrug] Guess that’s it, hideous as it is.
I wonder what La Raza thinks of F&F. They’re, um, focused on Hispanic interests both north and south of the border, and might take, um, issue with an Administration which acts with terminal contempt for, um, La Raza’s constituency.
I keep expecting the morning when CA wakes up to the sound of radio stations declaring “Enough! we’re independent now!” akin to a fateful morning in Rwanda.
Was hoping this article/link would explain the mindset, bent as it may be.
Actually, many have defended it, claiming that it did not go “far enough”, that the ATF hands are tied, and this proves it.
To a committed progressive, means to their ends are only “good” or “bad” as they are meant to move their agenda forward. Thus, “fast and furious” was good, because it was “intended” to move their agenda forward.
Here is a monograph on the psychology of leftists:

Pretty much. And they are so stupid as to believe that the rich, skinny, spoiled pos in the white hut gives a damn about them.
He does as he is commanded, and when he is done, they will find another empty suit to take his place using a different angle. They might even try to pass him off as a conservative from Texas....
Oh, wait.

The media and left have declared war on they’re own country.
American Family Voices are a union backed group ran by Mike Lux, one of the big wigs of the Clinton admin. Lux started at AFL-CIO and went to People for the Unamerican Way.
Whenever I hear a group named “American Family Voices” or “America Coming Together” or “Americans for Cute Puppies”, I know it’s ALWAYS some union or Soros-funded operation. I’m on the do not call list in my state, so if I get robo-calls from these people, I know it’s union because they are exempt from such restrictions.
Sounds like Issa is getting close to something they don’t
want anyone to know.
Yes, it’s another Soros front group with a stupid name:

they are defending their messiah again, or trying to,
