While I’m sure Mr. Howard is qualified to discuss the TV/filmmaking industry, what are his qualifications to discuss this topic?
In today’s Gallup poll, 66% want higher taxes on those earning $200K+, because they’re convinced it’ll create jobs.
God bless their idealistic little hearts and have mercy on their muddled, simple minds.
How nice of him to be "open" to the idea of taking other peoples' money.
There's nothing stoppimg you from cutting a big check to the government. Or how about all the proceeds from your next film go to the federal coffers instead?
Looks like Potsie and Ralph Malph were the smart ones in that trio after all.
There is nothing that prevents all of these wealthy people who claim they should be paying more in taxes from cutting a check and giving it to the government. The feds will take it willingly.
We’re already doing that (taxing the rich).
Next idea please.
If it wasn't for Don Knots, my AGS watching would be over, forever!
Ron Howard, release your tax returns. What amount have you paid in excess than required?
Why do you want children to starve?

When are these dopey Hollywood types going to learn that the gov't produces nothing? If you don't mind paying more taxes, go ahead and make a tax donation to the IRS, but don't force those who might actually use the money in a productive effort to follow suit. If Howard, Buffet, and the other idiots who want to pay higher taxes really want to do something good for job creation, just form a venture capital firm and give grants out for new enterprises. That would do much more good that sending the cash into that black hole called Washington.
Just as an interesting little factoid, Ron Howard’s brother Clint does not share his political views. He is a declared conservative.

Regards,
PS: Everybody knows Clint Howard. As a child actor, he appeared in the Andy Griffith show many times, was Mark on Gentle Ben, Balok in the Star Trek (TOS) episode, “The Corbomite Maneuver”, and the voice of Roo in one of the Winnie the Pooh movies. As an adult, he has had parts in most of his brother’s movies, including, of course, as one of the Mission Control guys in Apollo 13.

That’s right. It’s the fat cat businessmen like Floyd the barber who aren’t paying their fair share. Somebody get the tar and feathers
Then why aren't they? They are all free to send in as much as they like.
Hey, I've got an idea: Let's cap the profits allowable from making a movie to $1 Million and give the rest to the government. After all, everyone knows that's not real work!

We all know the stereotype: Hollywood is filled to the brim with die-hard liberals.
Actor Clint Howard doesn’t disagree.
“The entertainment business is a liberal business,” Howard, whose brother is actor/director Ron Howard, told POLITICO. “There are more liberals working in the business than conservatives. By a long shot, we understand that.”
Still Howard said that conservatives have found their own little comfort zone in Tinseltown.
“There is a growing fellowship of conservative-minded people in our business, and that has given me a nice place to go and nice people to be with, he said.
Howard, who’s had small roles in such films as “Apollo 13,” “Austin Powers,” “How the Grinch Stole Christmas” and “The Waterboy,” has decided “to come out of the conservative closet,” as he puts it, and has begun appearing in conservative-leaning web videos for Heritage Action for America, the Heritage Foundation’s advocacy arm. In them, Howard plays a congressman.
“If I can help out and if I can support causes that I believe in whether they be local candidates or whether they be a national issue I feel a little more fortified to step up and do my part, he said.
Ron Howard supported Barack Obama’s campaign in 2008. But Clint told POLITICO that any report of a politically-created rift between the two brothers would be overblown.
Evidently Opie is unaware that the top 0.1% of taxpayers pay more than the bottom 80% combined.
I bet Opie takes advantage of all the tax rebates he can find when he produces a movie though.

A Fascist alliance to bring down small business, the primary employer of the American workforce.
Tax everyone but them.
They really do think we care what they think. He will walk it back when he learns that Clinton just said it would be a bad idea.
