African Americans appear to be cooling their support for President Obama, with “strongly favorable” views of the president dropping dramatically from 83 percent five months ago to 58 percent today, a new Washington Post-ABC News poll shows.

The drop in support among black voters mirrors the declining support for Obama among all groups.

If they sit out, then they are not part of the black vote. He will still get over 90%. Color comes first to too many black people.

He may still get 90 percent of active voting blacks, but that is out of 80 percent of eligible black voters as opposed to 90 percent of 95 percent of active black voters.

It will make a difference.

That could make a big difference in congressional elections.

I don’t see that many blacks sitting out when the time comes. If you are right, then it could make a difference. I think his bigger losses we be independents and Hispanics.

Sooner or later, even some of his supporters will come to terms that Obama is very radical. I know people who voted for him. They are beginning to see it was not all Bush, that Obama had both houses and still nothing is improving.

That’s not the relevant measure. Maybe some black folks will get off the ‘Rat plantation and actually vote for the GOP candidate, but the main importance of this is black turn-out. If only those who still strongly approve of Obama turn out to vote for him again, he’s toast even if he gets 100% of the black vote.

I feel the distant drum-beat of “Reparations” vibrating in my ears

I wonder about that too... if he'll throw that "Hail Mary" next year. Also, look for him to pull whatever other executive order levers he can to open the borders further to placate the Hispanics.

Yep, it’s mathematic reality. A few will wake up and vote Republican but many will stay home - and that will indeed make a difference.

“Some Obama commemorative plates being moved from the mantle to the closet?”

I’m just glad to see the black t-shirts with gold latex silk screen going away. After the election, it was common to see “urban” types roaming the mall in full-on Obama gettup. Far less common these days. The bumper stickers are also much less common.

Incidentally, any car sporting the 2012 sticker with the commie logo as the “0” gets a honk and 1-finger salute. People may have been ignorant in 2008, but anyone supporting this ass in 2012 is a commie, and wants to take away your freedom.

So he will get 90% of the black vote instead of 95%.

Yes the percentage drop is small however, when you factor in the loss of energy and enthusiasm, this translate into hundreds of thousands staying home on election day, not contributing time and money and therefore forcing the party to spend resources to "amp" up their formerly secured base instead of lying to "independent" and moderate sheeple...This is still a good thing!!

Also bear in mind that the lame streamers have been pumping up his poll numbers so that its actually worse than it is...I would guess that its probably around 75% and that will hurt him badly in places like PA and OH where he HAS to win if he wants to be re-elected...Since the Dems have effectively alienated and or impoverished the white majority, they not only need 95%+ support they NEED 90%+ turn out...unemployed people that have to pay almost $4 a gallon for gas will not be happy with him and THAT NEVER GETS TALKED ABOUT by the libtard script readers in the media...

The bigger losses will be independents and perhaps hispanics - but a depressed turn out will also be significant. Moreover, it can be significant in any number of congressional and other races since this bloc vote normally pulls the straight ticket lever.

Herman Cain is making the argument that it’s not only ok for a black man to be a republican but to be a republican candidate for office. Freedom isn’t just for white people anymore.

Oh, good Lord.. look at that...

What a ***ing national embarrassment he is... Sometimes it's simply beyond words. EVERY other national leader observes the etiquette that you NEVER obscure the photo of another in a group pic.. but not the Kenyan idiot man-child. It's always about YOU, isn't it, 0bama?

The Mongolian PM was probably thinking, "By God, I'm going Ghengis Khan on this a-hole before the day is done."

(((Facepalm...)))

I didn’t think about the congressional races. You make a good point. I’ll blame my lack of thought on not enough coffee.

He is losing blacks that are highly educated, Christian and well to do.

Since he 'had' them in the first place, it just proves that those folks are racist. Other than his tan, Obama has nothing in common with those people.

From a blogger at Hot Air:

I wish I could upload photos…. You should see the areas I go through on a daily basis. All those hope posters that were pasted and painted onto retaining walls and on the sides of brick buildings in the inner cities down here? They are not gone, they have all been defaced.

The black community is very angry.

Hopefully enough blacks and people of color are waking up to make a difference.

I hope they’ve learned from this exercise and turn from their racist ways.

If not, my view of a lot of them has forever been changed by this presidency.

I honestly never knew how racist they were, how much they truly disliked whites, and how unhappy they were. To my knowledge, since the days of Clinton, I thought they were actually improving their lots in life. I guess I was wrong — and all it took was for one man to come onto the scene and expose all of this hate and division.

I hope after this thing is gone, that our country heals ...I’m not sure it ever really can. It’s really sad.

Poll: Obama slips with black voters

These types of polls, along with "the discontent of the libs" are nice to see and read about, but in the end you know these people are not going to go into the voting booth and vote for the GOP candidate. The best that can be hoped for is that they stay home and don't vote.
