Fraud Charges Floating for Obama Administration (Impeachment is a must)

Since we first write about the collapse of Solyndra, the solar energy company favored by the White House with a $535 million taxpayer funded loan, the stench has only gotten worse.

Rather than restate the facts, here are links to our four previously published posts:

September 10, 2011September 13, 2011September 16, 2011Fox, September 19, 2011

For those of you following this evolving scandal, here are a few more important developments and relevant details:

At least five high level investigations have been initiated including the FBI, the Inspector General of the Department of Energy, the Inspector General of the U.S. Treasury, the House Energy & Commerce Committee, and the House Government Reform and Oversight Committee.

Lamar Smith, Chairman of the House Judiciary Committee, has called on the Justice Department to appoint an "Independent Investigator" to look into the growing scandal.

Attorneys for Solyndra CEO Brian Harrison and CFO W.G. Stover, originally scheduled to testify to Congress this Friday, notified the House that the executives will invoke the Fifth Amendment and not answer questions.

Rep. Fred Upton, Chairman of the House Energy & Commerce Committee, cited an "apparent violation of the law" during opening statements in a House hearing last week; a reference to the Energy Policy Act of 2005 that authorized the loan program to the benefit of Solyndra, but importantly contained a prohibition against subordination of the taxpayers secured position.

Former Assistant U.S. District Attorney, Andrew McCarthy ratcheted up the allegations further by alleging the actions of the Obama Administration are "criminal fraud."  McCarthy says any competent prosecutor will pursue that line of investigation and points out that, "Fraud against the United States is one of the most serious felony offenses in the federal penal code."

Disregarding the exploding scandal, the DOE announced another half billion in loan guarantees to solar energy companies since the Solyndra collapse and reports suggest a dozen or more are being rushed through the pipeline prior to the programs expiration on September 30.

If he is successfully impeached, does he also lose all benefits afforded to ex-presidents? Or would he continue to receive SS protection for 10 years, as well as the pension, etc.?

Are they trying to incorporate Ebonics into this sentence?

No ethics charges will even come close to the FBP.

Look at the CBC’s members and how immune they are to blatant corruption.

The next jewelry they wear should be handcuffs..0bama, Holder(especially Holder), Jarrett (the hand inside the sock puppet), the whole damn lot of them. What a national disgrace.

Neuter him until next summer, then force articles of impeachment..Hillary won’t get in the game that late (she WOULD be a challenge if she got in early next year, never underestimate her).

I want BO to stick around, get voted out of office, then drag down as many DemocRAT congress critters with him as possible.

After that, I want him to live a long life, jet around like Jimmy Carter and constantly remind the boobs of this generation which voted him into office what Carter reminds the boobs of my generation every time he opens his pie hole.

Since impeachment wont work due to the RAT Senate - its better to drip drip drip drip this stuff till next year when we can oust all of these commie dirtbags.

I'm guessing that if he were impeached and removed, congress (dims & rinos) would pass a special law letting him keep all his benefits - he is a member of an "entitled" group.

With that said, don't hold your breath for impeachment and removal. He could murder someone on national tv and his core constituents and the traitors in congress wouldn't remove him. After all, OJ was not guilty of murder, was he?

Clinton was impeached but not convicted and is enjoying his pension and protection. If he had been convicted by the Senate he would have lost his benefits. The Pubs led by Trent Lott didn’t have the balls to convict.

IIRC, SS protection used to be for life. I seem to remember the newly minted 2007 congress specifically reducing coverage to 10 years for GWB. Please correct me if I’m wrong.

If this were an republican President, every news story about everything he was doing would begin with the following monologue;

'With his administration facing another investigation and the very real possibility of impeachment followed by criminal fraud charges, President republican addressed the U.N. today"

Instead, we get nothing from the MSM. The only thing that could get me to watch these traitors now would be a post on FR telling everyone to turn on the TV to watch the newscasters being arrested, live on air, for treason.

I really hate to say this, but after the lack of outrage/justice for the Waco massacre, I’ve forever lost hope in the Feds bringing the Feds to justice...

yes, SS protection used to be for life. It was reduced during GWB’s administration (I don’t recall the year) for GWB and future presidents to 10 years.
