Chris Christie Reconsidering 2012 Run, Will Decide in Days
Newsmax via Drudge ^

New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie is reconsidering his decision not to enter the 2012 presidential race — and he says he will let top Republican donors know within days about his plans, Newsmax has learned. During the past few weeks, several leading Republican donors and fundraisers have been urging the popular Republican governor to reconsider his decision not to run and to enter the GOP primary. These Christie supporters note that significant GOP support has remained on the sidelines of the primary fight. Many leading fundraisers have yet to commit to any current primary contender, including frontrunners Rick Perry and Mitt Romney. Newsmax has learned that the effort to draft Christie culminated in a hush-hush powwow held in the past week with Christie and several notable Republican billionaires.

Conservative? He’s for the mosque at Ground Zero and for gun control and the list goes on! He put a muslim judge in NJ court system because he’s his friend and known him for many years.

Wow! And at 5:38 a.m., this very morning, -- hours before this piece hit Drudge -- meads posted:

Palin is smart to avoid this monkey-wrestling fiasco. Rove still has a couple of RINOs waiting in the wings, as each of the establishment picks goes face-first into the mud, one after another. Next it'll be Chris Christie, then Jeb Bush, then another, then another; all anti-American, globalist, corrupt to the bone, scumbags.

meads, you're prescient! I figured you'd probably be proven correct, but man -- that was fast! {^)

Leading Republican Donors and Fundraisers = Establishment Republicans

Christie is as bad as Perry.

We must reject Chris Christie.

What is going to happen... is that he is going to make a speech to put this rumor to bed once and for all.

“I will not seek, nor will I accept my parties nomination for President of the united states”

and once he makes that statement I will think very highly of him, because it’s not fair to those that are running to have all these “others” waiting supposedly in the wings. We need to know what the field is, so we can choose between those who are actually running, instead of constantly pinning for others who have no intention of running but like to tease their followers *cough* palin *cough*

But, but (sputtering)...it's too late...it's TOO LATE for a new candidate to get into the race. The train has left the station. The field has been established. We've already had FOUR very crucial debates!

(Just giving Christie a little bit of the Palin treatment)

It's not too late for Christie, but it is far too late for Palin.

Honest.

I agree with everything you said. This is not your run of the mill election. The goal should be ousting obama at this dangerous point in time. Our very survival depends on it.

I love how quick he is on his feet, and how he smacks down the unions at all those press conferences.

That said, I cannot stomach his position on guns.

Reagan WAS kind of a RINO in some ways. We would do well to remember that. The thing is, we’re going to see a MASSIVE influx of relatively liberal republican independents this time. It will blow the leftist democrats out of washington. After their big 4 year party, you won’t be able to FIND a democrat in Washington, and they’ll be trying to switch parties so they can find a job. That means, in the 2014 elections we’ll be back to dealing with the RINO problem, because this groundswell is what the establishment republicans expect to keep them in high cotton. They hope that will shut us up. What they fail to realize is that it’s the TEA PARTY that is coming after them, and it is PISSED!
