Cell phones link Pakistan to U.S. embassy attack (Terrorist called Pakistani intelligence)

The insurgents who attacked the U.S. Embassy in Kabul last week were killed but their cell phones left a trail.

The phones had been used to call Pakistani intelligence operatives before and during the assault. This evidence lies behind the charge made by Adm. Mike Mullen, the chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, that the Haqqani network is a "veritable arm" of Pakistani intelligence, CBS News national security correspondent David Martin reports.

The attack on the U.S. Embassy and NATO's Afghan headquarters resulted in a 22-hour firefight - with American troops pinned down on roof tops.

Pakistan has been at war with the US for a long time. Think about it:

1. Al Queda is a creation of ISI, Paki intelligence.

2. A.Q. Khan built the "Islamic bomb". He also spread the technology to North Korea? Iran? Syria? Whoever paid?

3. Pakistan gets millions in US aid every year. Why?

4. Pakistanis can easily get visas to enter the US. Why?

5. Pakistan still controls terror networks at war with the US.

6. Pakistan harbours terrorists in the northern provinces. Until recently they harboured the most wanted man in the world.

7. NATO convoys to Afghanistan are routinely attacked and destroyed in Pakistan.

If not for the Afghan war, the US would, and should, be at war with Pakistan. They are a real enemy, not a friend.

Thanks tobyhill, but do you really expect us to believe that Pakistan plays host to terrorist groups which operate with the tacit knowledge of the Pakistani government? Yeah, I laughed before I finished typing that, too.

The Paks are our friends because they have Nukes and they know it. We should send ST6 in and retrieve the Nukes and then see how much the Paks play nice.
