I’m tired of voting for the lesser of two evils.

If Romney and Perry are the best they can do...we are doomed to the same thing we have had since Reagan. If thats the most conservative they get...they lose me.

Why don't you tell the TRUTH about what Dick Morris said?

I bet to avoid the answer: Mitt Romney was a backstabber.

"Despite outspending his rivals by huge margins throughout the primaries,
(Mitt Romney, Carpetbagger UT,CA,MA,NH,Mexico) lost Iowa, South Carolina, Florida and California.
The only primaries he won were in Michigan, where Dad was governor; LDS states;
and a few states on Super Tuesday in which his California-obsessed rivals
couldn't spare the cash to advertise.
Only John Connolly in 1968 had a worse cash-to-delegates ratio.
And John McCain rightly did not like Romney's tactics during the primaries.
(W)hen (Romney's early leads) started slipping away, he resorted to unfair,
distorted, scorched-earth negative ads, betting that his opponents couldn't
afford to spend enough for the truth to catch up to his charges."

[Romney: A Mistake for McCain, 7/23/2008, Dick Morris]

"Peeking Out From the McCain Wreckage: Mitt Romney"

"Someone's got to say it: IS MITT ROMNEY RESPONSIBLE FOR OBAMA'S VICTORY?"

"Vanity: Team Romney Sabotaged Palin and Continuing to Do So?"

"Romney Supporters Trashing Palin"

"Romney advisors sniping at Palin?"

Poor sport spoiler Romney doing what he does best:

Novak: "Fred Thompson drop-out rumors traced to Romney campaign"

Said Novak: "The rumors were traced in part to Mitt Romney's campaign,
trying to stir up strife between McCain and Thompson
."

If Sarah does not get in, we are doomed to the Establishment GOP nominees they put up be it Romney or Perry. They are both losers whether they win the election or not USA loses.

I went even further and dropped FOX altogether. They went full bore establishment GOP. They lost the edge they had. All of their show have changed except Hannity and he was always hard to take seriously in the first place.

Like many conservatives, I respect Charles Krauthammer's opinion but, as in this case, I completely disagree with him.

I saw his appearance on Fox News where he implied that Mitt Romney was (sorta, kinda) 'conservative' and, more importantly, 'electable' while 'someone else' (Palin, no doubt) might be more 'authentic' (translation: an actual conservative) but would be unelectable. I think that is rubbish. The Republican beltway establishment, which clearly includes Charles Krauthammer, always believes that only a quasi-Democrat can possibly win the presidency and if you (unavoidably) bring up President Ronald Reagan, they call that 'a fluke'. The reality is that the 'Beltway Boy' types dislike conservatism. They live in a bubble (D.C.) where most of the social clout is held by liberal Democrats. A politician such as Sarah Palin repulses them; no ivy league pedigree, no law degree, no 20 years in congress or other supposed resume-enhancing stuff. Just an honest, effective small-town mayor and uncorrupted governor with integrity, smarts, a steel backbone and true conservative convictions plus being a committed Christian wife and mother that lives her faith. Ewwwww!

You can see why pundits such as Charles Krauthammer, a psychiatrist before he became a political commentator and a man that eschews religion but is considered a 'conservative' by the leftist media would look askance at a rugged individualist type like the estimable conservative, former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin. For all his education and accolades, on this one, Charles Krauthammer is dead wrong and his near palpable disdain for Sarah Palin will look like the elitism it really if she enters the Republican primary race, wins the nomination and goes on to defeat Barack Obama. Guys like Krauthammer will treat Palin as an anomaly too 'naive' to be a successful president. They'll keep stating this right up until she is successful in pulling America back from the brink of socialist-generated destruction, then they'll criticize her voice quality, hairdo, wardrobe or something because, well, lets face it folks, Sarah Palin is 'not one of them'. Thank God for that.

Didn’t know Krauthammer had the authority to make such a declaration. I want to see his commission.

Because Willkie and Dewey, both Northeastern liberal republicans, did so well vs. the hyper liberal Roosevelt and Truman.

Dr. Krauthammer always surrounds himself with liberals and GOP Royals to give the appearance of being a conservative

I would vote for revolution rather than romney. We already have marxism, why would more socialism be better?

Romney is a liberal Republican.

Perry is weak on immigration, but a strong conservative on pretty much everything else.

Sure, Palin is more conservative than either one of them and I do like her better than Perry. No sense pretending there is no difference between Mitt and Rick though.

If Sarah doesn't run, and I still don't think she will, conservatives need a place to turn. Mitt clearly isn't it. If not Perry, then who?
