Millionaire Michael Moore Calls Capitalism Un-Christian (BARF!)
Washington Examiner via FoxNews ^ | September 27, 2011 | Joel Gehrke

Posted on 09/27/2011 7:13:21 AM PDT by maggief

..[Piers] Morgan asked Moore about his opposition to capitalism, especially given Moore's financial success as a filmmaker. When asked if his movie-making amounted to a capitalist endeavor, Moore replied "Is it really?" He then noted that "the only reason I do well is because people want to see my movies," before indicting the modern financial system as a corruption of capitalism, a "shell game."

As Moore concluded his remarks on capitalism, he said that "it's not American." Additionally, he said "it's not Christian or Jewish," after citing 46 million poor people that Moore believes the capitalist economic system neglects. "None of the major religions, in fact they all," Moore said, "say it's one of the worst sins you could commit, is to take such a large piece of the pie while others suffer."

What a joke of a comment.

Boost in Food-Stamp Funding Percolates Through Economy - July 2009

For many families, monthly food-stamp allotments rarely last more than a few weeks, leaving them with dwindling grocery supplies -- and sometimes bare cupboards -- by the end of the month.

Sometimes bare cupboards? Sometimes? I wish that nobody in this country ever went hungry, but I would have to say that the programs that are in place are a FAR CRY from neglect.

And Communism is PRO-Christian???

The Communist Party USA (CPUSA):
"We are a party of unity in action. We are an integral part of every struggle and movement for change to eliminate poverty and joblessness, against racism and for full equality. We are participants, initiators and leaders of every movement to make life better now and much better in a socialist future." Yeah, so they supported an oppressive dictator, like the Repubs and Democrats haven't? The CP is still around, has apologized for that whole Stalin thing, and has a quickly growing youth section.

My Vote's for Obama (if I could vote) ...by Michael Moore

Friends,

I don't get to vote for President this primary season. I live in Michigan. The party leaders (both here and in D.C.) couldn't get their act together, and thus our votes will not be counted.

So, if you live in Pennsylvania, can you do me a favor? Will you please cast my vote -- and yours -- on Tuesday for Senator Barack Obama?

Before the socialist took over our government, poverty in this nation was not stagnant. Millions of emigrants came to this nation and most would be considered poor. If they remained where they came from, they would also have remained poor. The difference was this nation rewarded hard work. Those that worked hard, learned our ways, prospered.

The unfairness we have today is that the government is penalizing (and making it difficult) for someone to work their way out of poverty.

In fact with all the welfare programs they are taking the incentive away from people.

Life is not fair, it should not be the governments role to attempt to make it so.

Straight from Jesus’ words, the parable of the talents is an endorsement of capitalism,

using capital to increase wealth.

Jesus (Matthew 25:14) tells a parable of a ruler who went into a far country. Before he left he gave his three servants a certain ammount of cash with orders to “Occupy, till I come”.

When he returned one servant had gained by honest labor a double ammount more than what he received.

The second had doubled his by the same method.

The third hid his in the ground and when the ruler returned he found NO GAIN from his investment.

The ruler is upset even chewing out the worthless servant for not giving his money to the exchange bankers that gain by usery could be had.

That’s Jesus, the commie. Yeah, sure.

Then James 4:13 mentions how one says ...”Today or tomorrow we will go into such a city, and continue there for a year, and buy and sell, AND GET GAIN....If God Wills.”

Moore is living proof that in America, you can be a leftist idiot and become a multi-millionaire. What other country can say that? (smirk)

As with many that use the word Christian Mr. Moore seems not to be willing to support his claims . 1 Timothy 5:8 But if anyone does not provide for his own, and especially for those of his household, he has denied the faith and is worse than an unbeliever. 2 Thessalonians 3:10 For even when we were with you, we used to give you this order: if anyone is not willing to work, then he is not to eat, either. 1 Timothy 5:18 For the Scripture says, “YOU SHALL NOT MUZZLE THE OX WHILE HE IS THRESHING,” and “The laborer is worthy of his wages.

Thank you very much! Those references will come in handy.

Thank goodness he lives where he’s free to move to a country that despises capitalism. Please, take advantage of that freedom.

In the pantheon of great Christian thinkers and theologians I think Michael Moore, Bill Maher, Jeanne Garafalo. Right up there with St Augustine, John Wesley and Spurgeon. Fattty stick to socialism, don't embarrass yourself, you sound like an as*.

Mat 26:11
For ye have the poor always with you; but me ye have not always.

Even the Lord Jesus knew there were ALWAYS going to be poor.

HOWEVER:

Mat 11:5
The blind receive their sight, and the lame walk, the lepers are cleansed, and the deaf hear, the dead are raised up, and the poor have the gospel preached to them.

Why didn’t the Lord Jesus give the poor money? They needed a change of life! “Poor” can become a way of life. The Lord knew to just giving them money would not solve the deeper need they have.

The hypocrisy of the left just continues to floor me. Where are the Gandhis of the world? Gandhi inspired his followers by living his creed. Heck - loon that he is - I even give Ed Begley, Jr. credit for at least living what he preaches.

It amazes me that so many will swallow the bilge of the Al Gores and Michael Moores - all while witnessing with their own eyes the lifestyle they live and the hypocrisy they indulge.

We as a society are absolutely sheep.

he said "it's not Christian or Jewish,"

The Jewish Talmud recognizes that what has been created by God for man's enjoyment must be essentially good, it not only counsels men to indulge in them but even condemns those who abstain from them. The Rabbis assume the standpoint that God wants His creatures to be happy, and it must therefore be sinful deliberately to shun physical happiness and material well-being. No virtue was attached to poverty. Man is entitled to the fruits of his labor.

Christianity recognizes the biblical consept of justice, the nature of man as a rational being, and the existence of natural rights to liberty, property, and pursuit of happiness.Capitalism, and not socialism, is the economic system that is compatible with these premises.

I did happen to see some of the Piers Morgan interview with Mr Moore (spouse had it on). A few silly expletives on my part did not improve matters.

I think this man deliberately "pushes people's buttons" - I stand corrected if this is not the case. If he is doing this, then he is that kind of gadfly who may have serious inner mental issues.

He is living proof that his own country is the very best environment for a man like him. It's Constitution has a lot to do with this. Ah, but to imagine what would happen to the man in some other country. Perhaps he would be smart enough to keep his mouth shut, else mysteriously vanish and his wealth given to the state.

He should kiss the soil of his country, when he arrives back. He has been to Canada of course, (fat chance)
