Whoops, California! And you’re complaining about Perry’s stance in Texas?

Perry is a fiscal Conservative and a social liberal.

He is without a doubt one of the most pro-life people out there. He got Tort Reform passed in Texas FGS! Do you know how long conservatives have tried to get tort reformed passed anywhere? He got Photo ID passed, is that one of your liberal things. He's pro-gun and pro-border control. Take your "social liberal" and try to pass that off somewhere else. People here aren't that dumb.

Yup...

The GOP hasn’t behaved conservatively in a very long time.

I never said a thing about a 'guest worker program'. The quote and source I provided show Perry is for a 'path to citizenship' for ILLEGAL aliens. And regardless how badly you embarrass yourself denying that is amnesty you just can't change the fact that it is.

Oh, you’re from Georgia. That explains a lot!

lol! And you’re really good at making a fool of yourself. That explains a lot!

Whoops, California! And you’re complaining about Perry’s stance in Texas?

What Perry does in Texas is between him and his fellow Texans -- but that all changes when he seeks to become my president. That may be beyond your limited intellect but it is what it is.

And I currently live and work in California but have lived and worked in both Tyler and Galveston.

He's pro-gun and pro-border control.

Not to nitpick, but Perry supports in-state-tuition for illegals. If that's not a "Come one, come all" enticement to all the south-of-the-border folks, then what is?

Disclaimer: I currently support Herman Cain.

That's what the Federales claim, but they refuse to do the job, and have actually sued Arizona to prevent their attempt to protect their border- Perry said that the Arizona law was "not appropriate" for TX, altho he recently is claiming that he is standing with them in their lawsuit.

It's not what the Federales claim it's their Constitutional responsibility. I live in Arizona and we are not doing what we're doing because we want to, it's because we have to. Texas has the money to put $400,000 of their own state money into border enforcement, Arizona can not afford that. Also, it's right that Our way is not Texas way, they have a whole different set of circumstances.

Rush is playing chess and everybody else is learning checkers.

The story should have been Cain tied with Romney/Perry.

Instead....the media and Fox:

1)distorted the polling analysis...it’s a 5.5% margin of erro making the race a 3 way dead heat.

2)the narrative today was look how cute RINO Chris Christie is...all day on every Fox show....Christie etc etc.

Limbaugh way ahead of the morons in the media.

Carling: “Amnesty and a guest worker program is not the same thing.”

Not necessarily true. What is the definition of an amnesty?

amnesty: A general pardon granted by a government, especially for political offenses.

What is the legal penalty for illegally entering the USA or staying here after one’s visa has expired? Illegal entry can get you a fine, imprisonment, or both. A visa overstay can get you banned for 3 to 10 years and requires you to leave the country before you can get another visa or apply to immigrate.

It appears Governor Perry wants a guest worker program. If his program pardons illegal aliens, then it’s an amnesty. In other words, if the illegals get to stay here without paying the penalties currently prescribed by the law, then it’s a pardon, aka amnesty.

I’ve already provided proof that Perry is against amnesty in this thread.

And I provided proof, in his own words, that Perry is for it.

You do realize that a 'path to citizenship' is amnesty, don't you?

And you do realize that "sure' is an answer in the affirmative, don't you?

An affirmative response to the question of amnesty means he is pro-amnesty. You can make a fool of yourself by denying it but you can't change that it is fact.

So do 10 others states. It's a solution to a problem that the people of TEXAS decided they wanted. All but 4 members of the legislature voted FOR it, that is an overwhelming, veto proof majority. It was 10 years ago, if the people of Texas wanted that changed, they would have changed it. It solved a problem they had and unless you've walked in their shoes, it's best to leave it alone.

Arizona has it's solution, California has it's solution (they have that little tiny dab of a border there and it's got population all along it so a fence works well there (except when they dig tunnels under it).

That's it exactly....Mittens never had to worry about immigration. If someone digs into Godfathers Pizza during Cain's time as CEO they will most likely find his company employed illegals. Bachman should be asked if we should build a wall on the Canadian border to stop illegal entry and slow down drug smuggling as well. See how lame the attacks on Perry are.....most of the attacks crap.

Reminds me of school yard piling on. The ones that sound all big and tough have never done a damn thing that would equal running the State of Texas for the past decade! Perry has the credentials....

Christian......check
Served in the military.....check
Common sense.....check
Washington outsider.....check
Executive experience......check
Made mistakes but willing to admit them.....check

Perry is being called a Rino by people who are stuck on one or two issues. Those same people would be saying that Ronald Reagan is a Rino! Like it or not, the same ploys utilized to get rid of Rudy and Fred Thompson are back. Either one of those could have beat zero.....instead we got McCain and his fat daughter.

Perry and mittens are NOT even close in core values and beliefs. Mittens is an east coast carpetbagger that thinks he can peddle his snake oil to enough people to get him elected. The very type of potlicker that has most likely cut deals with some of the other candidates to ensure a place in his administration if they take down Perry.

Don't fall for this crap again people. I fear that there isn't an America left if zero get four more years! I don't care if my next President is a bad debater.....I know how the great debater turned out..........

Rush pointed out Christie is good in the Q & A format.

I found Christie's response re ego and leader of Free World too cute by half.

Rush is correct in all establishment thrusters set to repel Cain, Bachmann, Perry and insert Romney.

I found Perry's "no heart" comment epically offputting--but would still vote Perry over Romney, Perry over Obama.

Establishment consisting of liberal and rino Jabba the Hutts would have us fatally wound Cain, Perry, Bachmann--

Rush is better placed this cycle to warn of the opposition's Operation Chaos.

So do 10 others states. It's a solution to a problem that the people of TEXAS decided they wanted.

So does Perry support it on principle or solely because the people of TEXAS decided they wanted it?

No matter what his answer, he's screwed, because what the American people want a candidate to say now is, I OPPOSE THIS KIND OF $HIT ON PRINCIPLE. NO MORE!!!!
