(CNSNews.com) - President Barack Obama told an audience of high school students in Washington, D.C. on Wednesday that he was “not always the very best student” and that ethics “would not have made it on the list” of his favorite subjects.
“I was not always the very best student that I could be when I was in high school, and certainly not when I was in middle school,” Obama said, speaking at Benjamin Banneker Academic High School.
“I did not love every class I took. I wasn’t always paying attention the way I should have,” Obama said. “I remember when I was in 8th grade I had to take a class called ethics. Now, ethics is about right and wrong, but if you’d ask me what my favorite subject was back in 8th grade, it was basketball. I don’t think ethics would have made it on the list.”

Some day, when these kinds of guys can be detected early, we might do well to humor them:
Barry, you are a great player ... an asset to the team. You are the starting center now for UCLA, and both the Lakers and Celtics want to meet with you! Just keep spending more time honing your considerable skills.

I never has a ethics class in any school I ever attended. Ethics were taught at home.
Maybe that would be a special class in a muslim school. Of course their ethics would be a world apart from everyone elses.

Ethics class in 8th grade?? Not that I remember...for anyone...me or my kids or anyone.... Anyone here have an ethics class in 8th grade?? We did not need such a course. We understood the concept of "Right vs. Wrong".
There was also something (so sue me) called the Ten Commandments", now outlawed.
