Gov. Chris Christie is seriously rethinking his months of denials and may launch a campaign for the White House after all, a source close to the governor said tonight.

In the last week, Christie has been swayed away from his earlier refusals to run by an aggressive draft effort from a cadre of Republicans and donors unhappy with the GOP field, said the source, who was not authorized to speak publicly and requested anonymity.

The DNC is preparing the ads that show Christie saying, “I’m not ready to be President”.

Just imagine the Democrats’ attack ads showing Christie saying he’s not ready to be president and the announcer saying, “Even Chris Christie admits that he’s not ready...” Disaster.

What are the Vichy Republicans who are egging Christie on smoking?

I will get a lot of angry replies for this one.

I love Palin, but quitting the governorship isn’t exactly an appealing quality to many people.

My wife is otherwise conservative. That is the sole reason she has stated she will never consider Palin. What, will she quit when her family gets made fun of if she becomes president?

I bet a lot are like her.

Both Christie and Palin are indecisive. Not endearing qualities for the Presidency.

Just because one hasn't announced doesn't mean that they haven't decided.

And of course, Reagan announced in November, 1979.

Who told you that Gov. Christie is not pro-life or that he is pro-same-sex-marriage? Christie obviously isn’t a perfect conservative, but he has been strongly pro-life as governor and has been a firm opponent of same-sex marriage.

Right. Both Christie and Palin are indecisive. Not endearing qualities for the Presidency.

That Palin isn't as hasty as you want her to be doesn't make her "indecisive" any more than not having sex on the first date makes someone a tease or a prude.

Pro-Muslim, anti-gun, pro-illegals, opposed to offshore drilling, unwilling to fight Obamacare in the Courts, doesn’t understand free speech or legitimate dissent ?

Sure Christie - run. You’ll suck the air away from Romney and maybe Perry and split the RINO herd.

That will assure a conservative gets nominated.

“Chris Christie seriously considering run”

Now c’mon. Christie is a big fellow. A waddle, maybe, but a run, never.

Unfortunately the GOP did not do it in 2008. There are videos of 0bama saying the same thing and he actually proved he was right.

Put Perry and Newt in column B and the math changes.

Fatso better figure out that a Patriot doesn’t wait for passion to bloom in his heart, to go and serve his Country.

My Grandfather had no passion in his heart to go fight Germans, but when his Country needed him - he went.

My Father had no passion to fight Japanese in the jungle - but when his Country needed him - he went.

I ...Well heck, I wanted to be a Marine since I could piss.

BS. she has had 3 years to figure this out. She was the VP candidate in the last election FCOL. I don’t care how much time she takes because I’m done with her. She can take all the time she wants.

I am sorry, that argument does not hold. Everyone knew Reagan was running in 1980. He even had an informercial in the Summer of 1979.

He’s just deflecting attention from the real candidates. As soon as the deadlines are over his scam will end.

The Republican elite likes Christie because they know Christie will do what they want him to do - immigration “reform,” cap and trade, Muslim appeasement (see Bloomberg), ObamaCare modified to their liking but not necessarily repealed, etc. Christie is their man.
