Panetta warns Israel against growing isolation (Obama trying to shun Isreal to give up Jerusalem)

The continuing turmoil in the Middle East makes it crucial that Israel finds ways to communicate with other nations in the region if it's ever going to enjoy peace and stability, Defense Secretary Leon Panetta warned in a blunt assessment.

Speaking to reporters on Sunday as he traveled to the Mideast and Europe, Panetta said the Jewish homeland is becoming increasingly isolated in the region. He said Israeli leaders need to restart negotiations with the Palestinians and work to restore relations with Egypt and Turkey.

"There's not much question in my mind that they maintain that (military) edge," Panetta said. "But the question you have to ask: Is it enough to maintain a military edge if you're isolating yourself in the diplomatic arena? Real security can only be achieved by both a strong diplomatic effort as well as a strong effort to project your military strength."

What a horific “solution”. Give Jerusalen ot Hamas. Americans are no longer welcome on pilgrimages to Bethlehem and Jerico after those cities were “given” to the so-called Palestinians. But to just hand over the seat of the 3 major mono-theistic religion to what have proven to be animals is ridiculous. Obama should be ashamed of himself. He always wants to take the easy way out. Panetta is an ass. Look at a map of the Middle East. The Arabs own way more property there than tiny Israel. And yet, the Arabs won’t allow peace. They won’t recognize Israel’s right to exist. They finance terrorist groups.

And Panetta wants Israel to make further concessions. Somehow, it’s all up to Israel to solve this problem. He blames them for being too isolated. It would be funny if it weren’t so serious. In a dramatization, I can see someone like Peter Sellers acting in Panetta’s role.
