Hank Williams Jr. Pulled From ‘Monday Night Football’ After Comments Made on Fox News By Alex Weprin on October 3, 2011 6:02 PM

Musician Hank Williams Jr.–who doubles as the voice of ESPN’s “Monday Night Football”–has been pulled from tonight’s broadcast as a result of statements he made on Fox News early this morning.

On “Fox & Friends,” Williams said this of the so-called “golf summit,” which saw President Obama and VP Biden playing golf with House Speaker Boehner and Ohio Governor John Kasich:

“Come on! Come on! It would be like Hitler playing golf with Netanyahu!” adding “They’re the enemy! Obama! And Biden! Are you kiddin’ me, the Three Stooges!”

Hank exercised his 1st Amendment rights and so did ESPN.

I'm all in favor of private companies and private citizens being able to make their own calls. But if they make too many PC calls - they'll lose me - but I'm with you - that's their business.

Liberal newspapers and liberal magazines threw me and other conservatives away - and look where it got them... It's their money - their jobs, their business.

FU ESPN! I am a DIE HARD Buccaneers fan, but I will NOT be watching MNF any longer. Told them so in an email that I have taken ESPN off my list of home pages in my browser.

The Bill of Rights doesn’t apply to private entities.

Vick didn’t get a pass he went to jail and when the allegations first came out he was indefinitely suspended. Rush didn’t get turned down he withdrew his ownership bid. I wish he hadn’t and forced them to try and make that an issue.

I wonder if this has to do with Hank Williams Junior endorsing Herman Cain?

Vick’s playing again, is he not? Rush didn’t stand a chance, that’s why he squashed his bid. He’s still bitter about it.

...because NASCAR NFL fans WILL REVOLT.

My wife didn’t. She hates Obama. She loves football.

"There are consequences to that free speech thing..."

Yep and there are consequences to punishing those who engage in free speech also if the public wishes. I've been contacting ESPN sponsors all night long informing them I am organizing boycotts of their products until Hank Williams is restored to ESPN.

The Nuge, Bocephus and Larry?

Add Kid Rock into that mix. Jr. said he was going to see him at the Detroit game.
Sounds like now, there will be quite a time in that box at the game...lol!

Hank Jr and Kid Rock entertained our troops in Kuwait and I believe later in Iraq. My son drove for two hours across Kuwait to see Kid Rock and loved him.

We still have home-grown heroes in both music and in uniform. Good for America. Good for freedom.

LOL! Now that’s funny. I don’t think the Obama fairies at ESPN would appreciate the humor though. Those sissies are about to take a beating in 2012 and aren’t in the mood to laugh. Heh heh heh.

Thank goodness at least one person is putting this in the proper context. Hank never compared Obama to Hitler. Rather he was opining, with extreme hyperbole, on the notion of two absolute opposites spending the DAY together hanging out on the links.

Not to mention that the whole thing falls apart if one considers that comparing Boner to Bibi is a joke. There is NO comparison. Stupid PC media falling all over itself to “disavow” when they do not even have the mental horsepower to realize that there was nothing said that could be disavowed.

Perhaps, I am going way out on a limb here, but I think that the NFL will survive without Hank Jr.
