To be fair, I haven’t watched the evening news in a long time. My assumption that anything that would injure Obama’s re-election chances will not be reported is a reflex.
I can't wait for the nightly displays of the diagrams with the faces of the major players and the circles and arrows showing how they interacted with each other.

These released docs are a snowjob. They are about GUNRUNNER, not Fast and Spurious. GUNRUNNER was a legit op.

I was hoping this was about F&F/etc. when I saw that title but there are fifty other topics a “WH knew document dump” could have been about.
Well, it is an international scandal, so I'm sure Obama had his finger prints on the paperwork. Wonder why Mexico isn't screaming about this?. . . well some in their government are, but not the big guys. Sounds fishy to me.
Sorry, but Issa and Grassley can't appoint a special prosecutor. Congress doesn't have that authority.
That's up to the Attorney General's office, with the express approval of the President.
The best strategy for Issa and Grassley is to keep moving the investigation forward, continuing strategic leaks to the media, until a new president and a new AG take office in January, 2013.
Then, they can drop the dime on the whole corrupt venture.
Of course, Obama will probably pardon everybody on his way out the door...
