At the Florida debate, Herman Cain said he would pick Romney as his VP -- and to CNN Herman Cain said he could not support Rick Perry for a host of reasons. So I guess Romney-Cain is the ticket Cain sees.

There are so many reasons to support Cain, however he to easily jumps on the race card for me. I just thought he was better than that. (Of, course I am going on the MSM reports, so I could very well be wrong. I only say wrong because I just had a glass of wine)

I’m beginning to think that Mr. Cain has cut a deal with Romney. Romney for President, Cain Veep. No thanks.

Yup. There is no way Cain can raise enough cash to beat Obamney. It would be fun to see him debate Slow Joe.

Cain willing to consider vice presidency

Well isn't THAT a surprise, LOL.

No, that's not quite what Herman Cain said. Cain was actually needling Romney about his inadequate economic plan:

BAIER: Mr. Cain?

CAIN: This is a game, and it is hypothetical. I'll play the game.

(LAUGHTER)

If -- if Governor Romney would throw out his jobs growth plan and replace it with 999, he has a shot.

(LAUGHTER)

If he does not, I would probably go with Speaker Gingrich, who I have the greatest admiration for, in all seriousness, because of his history and because of his depth of knowledge. I could go on because I have respect for everybody up here. But it's a game.

(LAUGHTER)

When asked on Leno what he thought about the two men, the best thing he was willing to say about Romney was "good hair" but about Gingrich was "brilliant."

I think the most likely combinations are Cain/Rubio or Cain/Gingrich.

For anyone seeking the nomination to suggest s/he’d take the #2 spot before the first vote is cast is not terribly bright. Even if they know they don’t have a prayer, they always say ‘when I’m president ...” and talk/act as if they will win. They don’t this early in the game talk about coming in 2nd, or being chosen for #2. It shows Cain’s political naivete. Top tier candidates don’t have the freedom to talk off the to of their heads.

Much appreciation for pointing this info out to us RE Herman Cain as VP for Mitt Romney.

It would make sense. On social issues, Cain does not appear to be all that conservative, although who really knows with this man.

He says he is pro-life, yet he would not sign the pro-life pledge. He said homosexuality is a sin and a choice, but then he also said he would appoint gay / lesbian administration, would feel comfortable appointing homosexuals as judges (so long as he feels they believe in the Constitution), and he attempted to hid the openly gay staffers he had on his campaign staff from the public. He claims to be a pro-business conservative, but he supported TARP). Now Cain says he is a conservative but then he shows he is willing to instigate and participate in racial baiting, a tool we are used to liberals using.

We have absolutely no political record of how Cain would really do things since he’s never been in any office before... We just get funny quotes, really passionate speeches, and standing ovations for a very good orator.

While I don’t think any of us can really tell who Cain is since he says one thing and does just the opposite so much of the time, he does appear to like Romney a whole lot, and given his actions verses what he says, I would guess those two would be just right for one another.

I think VP is about as good as it will get for Cain. Unless he changes up the 9-9-9

Amazing how easily Romney co-opted the “true conservatives” who are appearing anything but.

Sorry herman, I won’t vote for that ticket.

But Rick Perry said he liked a Newt/Cain combo. It seems Perry liked Cain more than Cain liked Perry.

Cain shouldn't even be answering these types of questions. Would Mit or Perry? No they would say, I will be picking the VP not being the VP

Lot's of this is the suckling of the power teet. Everyone thinks Mitt is the anointed candidate so the want to be in good relations. Too bad for them Perry is going to be the nominee. Newt is the only one keeping his powder dry. I thought Cain was at first but he is clearly not.

Will he say "yes" to being Sarah's VP?

(I'd prefer Cain as the head of the ticket for succession purposes.)

Cheers!

I think Bachmann has a better shot at Mitt's VP unless he's just stringing her along. I had considered Herman Cain as a potential Palin VP. The last week may have changed that. Too early to tell.

Seems Cain and Bachmann both are trying to help Romney.
