Posted on 10/04/2011 2:20:58 PM PDT by Nachum
Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan said that while the West may presume that Israel and its surrounding nations would be under threat from a nuclear-armed Iran, it is Israel that possesses nuclear weapons. In a Time magazine article published on Tuesday, Erdogan dismissed claims that the agreement to install NATO radar in Turkey was a response to the nuclear threat posed by Iran. He said that the "radar system is executed under the framework of NATO obligations," and that Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad is not concerned with the issue.

Yeah, a threat to anyone who attacks it. But I suppose that makes it a rogue in the glorious new millenium.
Israel had plenty of opportunities to use its nukes. If they wanted to use them, they would have already done so.
Israel has had nukes for many years and not one Arab state has been turned into a glass parking lot. On the other hand, if Arab states had nukes...Israel would be gone.
Tough Erdogan. Israel will remain nuclear.
Damn right, Ergy. So shut up and sit down.
Turkey Boy gets it right.
Erdogan has now officially cross-dressed his way into his new permanent role of Mahmoud Ahmadinejad’s prison bitch. Thanks Nachum.

Right...bet your pantyhose!!
How many of the top people in the development of the a-bomb were Jews?
Ima thinking the “Israelis” had the bomb before “we” did.
Not Israel, but I have on occasion noted that had Hitler not been a Jewhater, simply a German nationalist looking to unify Europe under the Reich, most of the brains of the Manhattan project, including the Italians, would have been working in Berlin, not Chicago and New Mexico.
She sure is Recep. Hopefully all of your islamic brothers figure it out before it's too late for you.
Yes. I know it wasn’t Israel. Thus the quote marks.
Had to be a toughie for Hitler. Get the general populace behind you by blaming their troubles on the people really in control. Or get the people really in control to help in your quest for world domination before you slaughtered them. Toughie.
Hindsight is 20/20.
I haven’t read all of this but it may be interesting. May be a total load. But as they say, “There it is...”
What a surprise- Adolph Hitler would not make the bomb but an evil Jew named Albert Einstein would? Why did you show us this?
As perspective. Not a big fan of Hitler. Much less so of Islam. Much less.
I have read similar nonsense from Islamist fascists and Neo Nazis who wish to preserve the dear memory of 'Der Fuhrer". They spout this nonsense to justify any act of violence against innocent people.
Erdogan is a nut.
Right. There was the article the other day about some group in Egypt following the Nazi theme. Maybe you posted it.
I read different things. Helps to solidify my position. The total elimination of Islam from the planet and memory would sure be nice.
Erdogen is all for making trouble.
A whole raft of Jewish-origin scientists fled the rise of Hitler, and I believe most wound up staying. Some fled Hitler who were not Jewish of course. And then there were those who may or may not have been born in the US, but handed over secrets from the Manhattan Project to Stalin.
The Israeli bomb project began in a small way around the time of Israel’s independence. It got going in earnest when the Israelis traded their more efficient method of extracting heavy water to the French for some stuff they needed for it. The first Israeli a-bomb test was in the 1960s, and by 1973 the “one wire disconnected” inventory of a-bombs was small, but sufficient to erase their none-too-neighborly neighbors from the face of the Earth. The success of their conventional forces in repelling the enormous attack by the Arab terrorist dictatorships led to the renewed disconnect of the wire (that’s just an expression of course).
And that’s really too bad, eh?
I suspected as much from Erdogan, when it came to his permission for our anti-missile shield to be installed in Turkey.
In a worst case scenario, he could intentionally provoke a fight with Israel, attack Israel and expect the NATO missile shield to protect him from the attack he provoked.
The next POTUS needs to rewrite the NATO deal regarding our missile shield in Turkey and insure that their use is under the control of a NATO command and can only be used with full consensus of NATO’s members. That shield cannot become a tool of Turkish nationalist threats towards Israel. If we cannot prevent that from happening, NATO has to find somewhere else for them; like in the Kurdish province of Iraq.
