Sounds like Hank Williams Jr. is ready for some apologizing. Wait, make that a lot of apologizing.
The clearly chastened country singer has offered yet another mea culpa, after a comment he made comparing Pres. Barack Obama to Adolf Hitler prompted ESPN to pull his intro from "Monday Night Football."

In the apology, published on the singer's web site, Williams admitted that his comment was "dumb," adding, "Sorry if it offended anyone."

Well, Hank likes his job and figures it is worth groveling for, can’t say I blame him, lots of good money for just singing a song. Still, it would have been fun if he told espn to eff off, in fact, I would pay at least 5 bucks to see that, and I will bet thousands, maybe millions, of others would too. Hank, think about it next time, we will get a collection for you and you won’t miss out on any booty.

The apology is unfortunate—say what you mean and mean what you say. You can’t un-ring a bell. Apologizing does nothing other than make Hank Jr. appear wishy-washy. I don’t think he is. I suspect his agent probably explained how much of his earnings are at stake.
