Bulletin from the Bureau of Pot-Meet-Kettle: Howard Dean has declared that Tea Party Americans "are not playing with a full deck." This not merely from the man who made The Scream famous, but who in the very same segment today had a manic tongue-sticking-out moment [see screen grab] that might have scared pets and small children.
Dean also managed to get into a spirited fight with Michael Steele over Obama's 2012 prospects. Dean claims to see an Obama transformed, a candidate "on fire" who is on course to win. Steele soberly pointed to the 9.1% unemployment rate. View the video here.

What Dean means by "not playing with a full deck", it seems to me, is that the Tea Party has adopted an all-or-nothing mindset. It is on display here on FR every day.
Just think about what all or nothing means. What are the odds of getting it all? What does that leave?

FWIW...that’s exactly what will probably happen. In the end...DC gets the candidate they want and need. For DC...Romney/Obama are two sides to the same coin. Either continues to acrue power and resources to the Borg.

My question is what has Howard Dean been smoking? Answer: Terminal Ignorance.
While there is slight differences between Obama and Romney.. Not enough of one to get me to vote for him.
I’ll work hard for those down the ticket, but I’ll have to be in a really good mood to vote for Romney.

There are at least 2 cards conservatives don’t use - the race card and the scare old folks card.
Mitt will NOT be the nominee. However, the path is wide open for him to try and win it..but he won’t. His core base of support has stayed between 25-30%, and now, over the next 4-6 weeks, he has to show the ability to grow it. He won’t, and when he fails to add to his poll numbers, then the rest of the GOP base will coalesce around a real conservative. It could well be Cain, unless Palin does decide to get it..
Mood has nothing to do with it for me. It’s a very simple choice. I usually don’t love either candidate, and yet picking the better of the two is a simple thing.
After the 2004 election we got a second term of a mediocre/bad president.
