Sarah Palin Will Not Run For President in 2012 (Letter from Sarah)
Street Insider ^ | October 5, 2011

October 5, 2011 6:20 PM EDT

Sarah Palin confirmed in a letter to supporters she will not run for President in 2012, saying at this time she can be more effective in a decisive role to help elect other Conservatives to office.

Below is a copy of Palin's letter:

October 5, 2011 Wasilla, Alaska After much prayer and serious consideration, I have decided that I will not be seeking the 2012 GOP nomination for President of the United States. As always, my family comes first and obviously Todd and I put great consideration into family life before making this decision. When we serve, we devote ourselves to God, family and country. My decision maintains this order.

My decision is based upon a review of what common sense Conservatives and Independents have accomplished, especially over the last year. I believe that at this time I can be more effective in a decisive role to help elect other true public servants to office – from the nation’s governors to Congressional seats and the Presidency. We need to continue to actively and aggressively help those who will stop the “fundamental transformation” of our nation and instead seek the restoration of our greatness, our goodness and our constitutional republic based on the rule of law.

From the bottom of my heart I thank those who have supported me and defended my record throughout the years, and encouraged me to run for President. Know that by working together we can bring this country back – and as I’ve always said, one doesn’t need a title to help do it.

I will continue driving the discussion for freedom and free markets, including in the race for President where our candidates must embrace immediate action toward energy independence through domestic resource developments of conventional energy sources, along with renewables. We must reduce tax burdens and onerous regulations that kill American industry, and our candidates must always push to minimize government to strengthen the economy and allow the private sector to create jobs.

Those will be our priorities so Americans can be confident that a smaller, smarter government that is truly of the people, by the people, and for the people can better serve this most exceptional nation.

In the coming weeks I will help coordinate strategies to assist in replacing the President, re-taking the Senate, and maintaining the House.

Thank you again for all your support. Let’s unite to restore this country!

God bless America.

– Sarah Palin

If by not supporting the abortionist, gay rights activist, global warming advocating, big government socialism mandating, lying bastard, two-bit political whore Mitt Romney I become your enemy, then so be it. I will never support that constitution/liberty trampling scumbag for president. What’ll it be? Guns or knives?

You don’t care? Then why shouid anyone? Your kids and grandkids will grow up in nation where any individual is subservient to the state. Fine, but while you may believe theres not dimes worth of difference between Obama and Romney, you’re going to find the value of a dime to be far greater than you think.

The bizarre confluence of events and back stabbing people surrounding Palin and the pure evil that attacked her, beginning with McCain and his team, was unnatural and will never happen again.

The Liberals are always viscious smash mouth haters, but usually the Republican has Republicans to protect them and fight back. Not Palin. She had her own team trying to harm her with the liberals! It was insane.

She’s a very decent woman and I know how very disappointed her followers are.

Aside from those inane ‘look at me ! look at me !’ boxes, that post confirms my worst opinion about what kind of @hole you must be in real life.

I feel exactly like you do. I was thinking of buying her DVD — now I won’t. I had money set aside for her campaign too. I think I’ll buy stuff for my kids with it.

That “thank you, Iowa” video she made was definitely a campaign video. I think as recently as then, that she was going to run. What happened?

It’s her right to decide, but I feel she personally led me on, and I’m a little angry at her, and sad for the country. I think we should rename the whole thing “United States Under the Media” because obviousl that is what we’ve become.

I really thought the Mama Grizzly was going to help get us out of the media’s jaws. No one else has the courage she has, and now that she chickened out, maybe no one else ever will.

Let a thousand conspiracy theories bloom.

It wasn't conspiracy but rather several other things. First was overzealous supporters that ignored the fact she wasn't putting a campaign together this past summer. I thought back in the spring that we was not running but simply using the mystery of running to help boost book sales, appearences, etc. I also predict by 2014 her name will be like Fred Thompson. Meaning she'll be doing commercials etc. I also look for her to endorse Romney before it's over. I'll get flamed for that one I'm sure LOL.

Well now it's down to Cain or an Independent it sure looks like. BTW if she had bowed out very earler maybe someone like DeMint might have been more encouraged too run instead. Now we have Mitt and yet another Texan Liberal as choices Yee Hah /sarcasm.

You have it BACKWARDS. The GOP runs a Romney,, they are telling me that THEY don’t care. The GOP had the house, senate, presidency, and a working number in the supreme court,,, and they gave us prescription health care, Fannie and freddy, gay repub organizations, islamicists in the Government, prosecutions of soldiers, marines and border patrols. They gave us open borders and let MILLIONS of Mexicans flood in. The GOP let thousands of Iranian IEDS and soldiers kill our men and never responded in a way that made them feel some fear.
Bush one gave us the first assault rifle ban.
The GOP was full behind global warming except a few brave souls. The GOP did not defund the EPA,, they did not drill ANWR.

I see only style differences between them and Obama democrats.

Neither guns or knives with all due respect.

I’m sure my posting history on FR since 2008 is crystal clear that I have never supported Romney and never will and I agree with everything you said about him BUT everything you said describes Obama x100. I will vote for Cain, maybe Perry in the primary, whoever looks like they will beat the Kenyan. However, should Romney win the primary(and I don’t think he will), yes, I will vote. I believe there is nobody worse than the Marxist Kenyan, NOBODY! I just cannot sit home and not vote, I just can’t. I would feel like I was voting for O.

Please don’t act as if I have ever supported Romney in the past, my record on here is quite clear and there are 3 years of posts to go back and check. I can’t stand Romney but I hate O 100000x more. Romney is everything you said he is but everything you mentioned about Romney is the same as Hussein x 1000.

Voting for him should he win the primary(I don’t think he will) is not the same as supporting in. I voted for McCain and I despised him but at least he wasn’t a Marxist thug. What happens if by some chance Romney does win the primary? Will FR tell people to vote for Obama, or write in a candidate or sit home? Good Lord... I pray to God that Romeny does not win.

Signing off, have a good night.

11th Commandment: I will not vote for Mitt Romney for President. Flame me that I am electing Obama, but I do not trust the guy. Flip on Abortion, guns, Health care (post of FR today supported mandates in 2007), trade policy is stupid and he will continue to support crony capitalism.

mojitojoe: That makes you my enemy

Looks like we have a self fulfilling prophecy here:
"...it’s time for me to find another place."
Blaming Obama's presumed winning in 2012 on Free Republic members that would NOT vote for your boy Romney (instead of blaming the GOP who will NOT run a conservative to save their souls) is an automatic bu-bye.

I will work my butt off for Herman Cain. I don’t think Perry has a chance, Hussein will destroy him in the debates, on the other hand, Cain will destroy the Marxist Kenyan. Cain is who I will support.

Then you are as delusional as ETL and all the zealots here if you think 4 more years of obama is the same as 4 years of Romney. Go read up on soviet admiral Gorshkov’s motto, and you will understand.

I agree that she pretty much told us on Greta’s show. I understand the disappointment of many. JimRob has a thread up stating he will support Cain, Bachmann and Perry - in that order...
