RIP, Mr. Jobs. I know you can’t hear all the moronic chatter that’s attempting to fill the void.

“Where would Planned Parenthood be today if Steve Jobs had been aborted?”

I am Pro Life; but to answer your question - I would say that that we would be about where we are today in the development and evolution of solid state electronics. I suppose one could ask that question about any number of people such as “where would we be if Jack Kilby or Robert Noyce had been aborted”? But, please don't misunderstand me, Jobs was a true genius for sure.

I recently read that his real father had tried to reconcile with him but other than a few emails, Steve would have no part of it. The way I remember it - the father wanted to marry the mother after getting her pregnant but her father would not allow it because he was Syrian. So - the mother travelled to California to give birth and then gave the baby up for adoption.

The rest of the story is - his real mother and father got married after her father died, had a few kids that they raised to be successful people.

Interesting story.....

Excellent question!!! The World was blessed with Steve Jobs and his genius! There is a big hole left where he once stood! Enjoy Heaven, Steve! Please pray for his family who will miss him so very much!

Wonder how many other geniuses have been aborted?

My wife and I had this very conversation tonight.

Makes you wonder what kind of greatness has been aborted.

I suspect that the mouse and graphical interface would still have been popularized, but perhaps a little later.

Apple was entrenched in schools for decades. And a large part of that was due to the influence of MECC. I’ve heard that Tandy was MECC’s second choice of computer, so perhaps Tandy would have been a long-term survivor.

Recently, Apple has popularized having extreme control over their products. (Little customization, must use app store, can’t run flash or emulators.) This approach is being copied by other companies. So perhaps computers are going to be much more limited in a few years thanks to Steve.

Rest in Peace, Steve.

One other aspect of Jobs’ career that people forget, was he was a crucial part of Pixar, which gave us “Toy Story”, “Finding Nemo”, “The Incredibles”, etc.

This is like asking what if Jesus Christ had been aborted?

A good political propaganda theme, bumpersticker, slogan, for sure, but little else!
