Step 1: The first rule of the establishment is: Do not admit you are part of the establishment! Step 2: Disarm them with praise Step 3: Moderate whoever they pick as the 2012 nominee. Step 4: Teach them about compromise. Step 5: Never forget reality

Please post the impurities you are willing to tolerate in a GOP presidential candidate:

-- Weak on 2nd amendment?
-- Believes in global warming and need for carbon emissions regulation?
-- Thinks Roe v. Wade should stand?
-- Thinks we should drop Israel as an ally?
-- Supports government intrusion in our health insurance and health care choices?
-- Wants to see gay marriage made legal across the U.S.?
-- Supports open homosexuality in the U.S. military?
-- Thinks government can "create jobs" by involving itself in the marketplace using taxpayer dollars?
-- Thinks illegal aliens have a right to services funded by legal American taxpayers?

Come ON, Deb. Let's get down to brass tacks. Stop with the hostilities and start with the substances. Show me HOW and WHERE the rest of us can be "non purists"? And show us the candidate YOU will tolerate, what issues YOU will tolerate, in terms of "impurity"?

You instruct me to "shut up," while I do the opposite for you -- I am respectfully requesting that you share your opinion with us. It would be really nice if you could do it without hostility and personal attack. :^)

“If the conservative loses in the primaries, the winner is our candidate.”

Maybe yours, I’d done with that kind of quiet acquiescence.

That you would so cavalierly dismiss a part of the Tea Party movement you disagree with is quite telling.

Wow -- value pack.

"Dismiss" -- I didn't dismiss them, I discerned, and then pointed out for others, the differences between the Tea Party Express and the Tea Party. It's called, doing your homework and knowing who you are talking about.

I also pointed out that the Tea Party movement is leaderless, has no organization, and doesn't do endorsements. The Tea Party Express just endorsed. That is a key piece of information.

"Telling" -- well, that's very minatory of you; but save the ad hom adumbrations of umbrage, because what it ought to tell you is that there's somebody out here who knows what time it is.

It’s evidence that he can tell the difference between the real deal and its establishment sponsored imitation.

And, Step 6, lose the election to the Democrats. Being in the minority works just as well for the GOP and its elected centrists as both can rake in contributions from corporations and fat cats needing juice in D.C.

Grisly-truth bump.

We're fighting the wealth of the ages, with little bits clipped off parsimonious paychecks. We're going to need some providential help from on high.

This is why we need to PURGE the Rino Party or create a new one...The battle isn't against Obama...right now...but against Rino Repubs who are so weak and anemic that they can't lead anymore but can't let go the strings of power. Right now it's not ABO (anyone but obama) but ABR (anyone but a Rino!) The primarys are about ensuring a RINO does not get the nomination. If one does then we deal with it then, but for now keep focus on getting out the word that we can't change course with a political elite!
I heard a person a Rush today saying they like Cain but he has no “governance” experience...so what?! That governance experience is exactly what keeps us in the same place! Take back our government by putting real people (i.e., non-governance) in office! Shake it up! Stack it up! Then we will have real transformation!

“There, girls, how do you like your rhetorical gimmick being played back to you? A little false dichotomy, anyone? — and try the ad hom sauce, it’s delicious.”

I really try to keep the discussion on the issues, but your condescending tone and insulting post just reminds me of the old saying: “It is better to stay silent and be thought a fool, then to speak and remove all doubt”. Your illogical and ranting post is an example — we have no doubt about you anymore.

Just as supporting Fred Thompson gave us McCain, now supporting Cain will give us Romney, then Obama. And people like you either never learn, or the real outcome is your objective.

It begs the question why some “pure conservatives” are posting from leftist sources, the socialist talking points against Perry — such as “ThinkProgress”, NYT, The Atlantic and probably others.

It's not evidence of much of anything beyond his obsession with Rick Perry.

Think I'm stupid enough to play your mug's game with you?

What, limit myself to quoting your RiNO sources that are in the bag for Mittens and Perry, that tear down Bachmann and Palin and anyone else who gets on the RiNO Social Register's bad list, their below-the-salt list?

Nobody is that stupid. Nice try at control, though.

....supporting Fred Thompson gave us McCain

LOL! Who'd you have in mind? Rudy? LOL! The Huckster? -- that's it, you're a Tyson or Bo Pilgrim or Harold Simmons employee, chewing up FR 24/7 for your boss's boy Perry, and I'll bet you guys worked the same hours for Huckabee four years ago! Am I right or am I right?!

Go on, control freak, back to Bryn Mawr or Little Rock or wherever you came from, and tell them you tried but we weren't stupid enough to drink the Perry Kool-Aid.

Judging from the flame wars on FR, it’s not hard to predict that Perry & Cain will split the conservative vote and elect Romney. So everyone’s argument is moot.

MestaMachine to Citizen Tom Paine
You are more right than you even realize...and ths is also where Rush is wrong. HE says there is no room for a ‘third’ party. The fact of the matter is that the dems and the repubs HAVE merged into one and the same party. That’s ONE party. Now we need a SECOND party and we have it. WE call it TEA.

WE are the roots of a SECOND party. Think about it.

Disarming the tea party mutiny? I've seen this before and it was just as recent as the last presidential election and loooooooook what happened. McCain would not hit below the belt, above the belt, to the side of the belt, well he wouldn't hit anywhere. And it just wasn't McCain who thought that way, it was the GOP establishment. Same thing will happen again and even though Obama is beatable, I doubt Romney would win. Also consider all his liberal baggage and Obama supporters and media will have a field day with one gotcha moment after another. It is like they want to loose and toss this country into dictatorship.

It is nice to see others see and understand the same as I. Where we differ is the commies change their name every time they turn around in trying to hide their agenda so I just lump them all under progressive.

The Democrats Are 90 to 95% taken over, the Republicans 40 to 45% taken over.

If we want to survive as a nation as a republic we must flush the progressives from both parties, from all government offices, from the media, from positions of instruction, both public schools and universities. The progressive political philosophy must be rendered ineffectual, laughable, an object of ridicule. The progressive must be excoriated and driven out of any position of authority. any adherent of such an absurd idea should never be paid more than minimum wage.

Finny, there's no way in hell I can compromise my values.
Here's an article that you can feel free to re-post any time you think it will help.

Jack Kerwick wrote an article on May 24, 2011 titled The Tea Partier versus The Republican and he expressed some important issues that I agree with.

I'm fresh out of "patience", and I'm not in the mood for "compromise".
"COMPROMISE" to me is a dirty word.
Let the RINO's compromise their values, with the conservatives, for a change.

The "Establishment Republicans" can go to hell!

We have been right about Perry and Romney!

Those of you blindly supporting either candidate here on FR. Your gig is up. Your candidates are part of this 100% like many of us thought.

The REAL conservatives have had enough.

If you give us a rino we will give you hell and rip apart the GOP. We are ready to bring this fight to you.

The Tea party patriots are united as one and will take back the republican party from you twisted freaks or we will start our own dominate party and the GOP will be a footnote in the history books.

Listen. When Marco Rubio was first sworn in, everyone was ecstatic. Oh boy. Young, Hispanic. good looking. Conservative. oh yeah. And I said watch out because mccain grabbed him by the hand and took him ‘under his wing’ and guess whose team made sure the FLA primary was moved up so romney could win!
Guess who was ‘chosen’ to visit the ‘rebels’ in Libya with juan?
Unless we forge NEW party from the rubble of the old, this is how it STAYS. Perry ain’t it. He’s a good old boy and he will do what has always been done. Which is exactly what we DON’T need.
mccain and his ilk MUST be gone or they will subvert anyone they percieve is popular with conservatives.
The left AND the establishment gop came together to rip Sarah Palin and her family to shreds.
To me, that means that we no longer have a choice. WE go rogue. Because if we DON’T we will not live to fight another day.
