Wall Street protesters vow to stay put (despite living in disease infested filth)
cnn ^ | 10/12/2011 | cnn

Protesters will resist any efforts to remove them from the Lower Manhattan park where they have been camped for nearly a month, despite Mayor Michael Bloomberg's order that they vacate the park at 7 a.m. Friday so it can be cleaned, an organizer said Thursday.

"Come tomorrow morning, we will passively resist and make it as difficult a process to remove us as possible," said Occupy Wall Street spokesman Tyler Combelic. "It's not an occupation if you can't occupy the park."

His words appeared to be backed up by the sentiment of the crowd of more than 1,000 protesters who filled Zuccotti Park Thursday night. "All day! All week! Occupy Wall Street!" they chanted.

Combelic called the mayor's announcement a "not-so-veiled attempt" to force protesters from the park, setting up a possible confrontation with authorities.

Protesters descended on the privately owned park near the New York Stock Exchange on September 17 to protest the nation's ailing economy.

"You want to clean up something? Clean up these crooks on Wall Street," said City Council Member Charles Barron.

Daniel Mintz of MoveOn.Org said he was planning to deliver to Bloomberg more than 350,000 petitions and signatures he received Thursday from supporters around the nation. "The mayor would do a lot better cleaning up Wall Street than cleaning up the plaza," he said.

It appears they are ripe for an outbreak of NORO.

The viruses are transmitted by faecally contaminated food or water, by person-to-person contact, and via aerosolization of the virus and subsequent contamination of surfaces

Break out the hazmat suits!

I'd do that for the psychological value alone. In fact I'd go all out and start checking pulses, taking temperatures, checking for pupil dilation etc. For a grand finale I would have one of my HAZMAT crew discover a break in their suit with freaking out and a trip to decontamination.

“Debt is Slavery”... that guy probably has no problem with how Obama has run up the national debt. Unless he’s a counter-protester, then he’s just wasting his time.

LOL - we were the counter-protesters, but it was all spontaneous.

We were in the area anyway, doing touristy stuff, and as we headed up Broadway, they came spilling down with their signs, chanting all kinds of things.

We starting mocking their chants and shouting various things back just to mess with them.

We definitely got a lot of their attention. And some of the cops seemed to enjoy us. :-)

As we walked a couple more blocks, we came upon Zuccotti Park and had some major fun.

Save tax payer money, and let them scoop their own poop, and fine them if they throw it over a fence. Sounds like good advice. Help them by bringing in more riff raff, misery always likes company.

I know. I live on east 25th. I've watched the homeless take over and the drug addicts are back and so are the squeegees. Bloomberg is a disgrace. I knew he was trouble from Day 1 when he stopped the private clubs in NYC from smoking. He sent a goon into my private club to - literally - arrest ashtrays. Some of us protested but because NYers are nanny-state hysterical hypochondriacs, no one said anything. This pig-sty is the end result of his years of highhandedness and incompetence.

"You want to clean up something? Clean up these crooks on Wall Street," said City Council Member Charles Barron

Isn't Barron the councildork that is on record as wanting to go up to any white man and "slap him in the face?"

There are plenty of white folk at the protest, why isn't he slapping them?

“the crowd of more than 1,000 protesters”

How very strange, tonight I actually heard CBS say the crowd was 300. What should I believe?

If those were TEA Partiers occupying the park, it’d be spotless already.

They’re learning also, until perhaps the voting once again actually reflects a desired truth.

They need to be reminded how ignored the huge thousands of numbers at the Tea Party Rally in D.C. were. Ignored by the National Beltway Fascist-Manchurians.

The National Fascist-Manchurians are once again preparing their candidates.
