And to make EVERY election about "republicans want to take your healthcare away" like they have successfully done with Medicare and Social Security. The most insidious thing is that they would deliberately make the available healthcare inadequate, so they would always promise more and more to a dependent class of people who want feebies and give-me's. Oops! Didn't work.
This part they gave up on is basically the long-term care part of Obamacare that was supposed to replace medicare.
The premiums couldn’t have been high enough given how many would be using it and using more than they’d been paying in. Long-term care insurance is very expensive because you can be on it a long time and easily use more than you pay in.
In any case, a SERIOUS win for America. Here’s to the rest of Obamacommiecare crumbling into ashes.

As bad as they can be they will look super competent compared to some of those in the county offices here. I have been to the tax office to try to get something straightened out and actually had a woman ask me the same exact question at least six times and every time she she ignored my answer and just asked again.
Well, at least the Republicans have a long term dog food plan...

What if Senator Jones says he only voted for the bill because it contained this now-stricken part. It’s naked bait and switch.
My wife and I, close to two decades ago did what conservatives are supposed to do with this situation, we bought Long Term Care LTC policies and have paid the premiums ever since.
We are continuously amazed at others who claim to be conservative in everything else but this aspect. They have never bought into LTC. They can go on cruises, Italy, the UK, China and other adventures but refuse to pay for their share of what is probably coming to all of us.
One of our role model neighbors died two weeks ago in his 90’s. His IRA investments and LTC kept him from being a financial and care burden on his family other relatives, friends and tax payers. His goal was to live in his home until they carried him out feet first and not owe the feds, state or anyone for his in home care. He got an A+ re his goals.
You are truly a model citizen in the middle of this liberal cesspool called CA!!!
The others you referred to with their trips, etc. came into this world as wards of their parents, but will live out their last days as wards of a tyrannical state!!!

We both know so called conservatives, who plan to spend their parents money before they die and let MediCal pick up the bills for their final year/years.
In those cases, we can hope that the ferrets of MediCal ferret out these scams and charge the heirs for their scamming.
