Afterburner with Bill Whittle: Three and a Half Days [YouTube Video]
Pajamas Media ^ | Oct 12, 2011 | Bill Whittle

Posted on 10/15/2011 5:56:50 PM PDT by servo1969

"Well there are protestors in several major American cities using their iPads at Starbucks to make Facebook and Twitter updates about the evils of corporations and you don't know whether to laugh or cry, honestly. What we're seeing here, I think, are the self-esteem movement's chickens coming home to roost. These kids are upset because the $100,000 of debt they took on in order to get their degree in Bitterness Studies isn't paying off with a six figure job and a car and full benefits at an organic farm collective."

"These people don't know what they're protesting but I do. They're protesting the fact that they've never been hungry, never been cold, never been without TV and air-conditioning and a car. They've always had a video game console and a laptop and a smartphone and they never, ever had to do any long hard real work for any of it. They were born into a level of prosperity so pervasive that the very idea of a difference in prosperity became vulgar and disgusting to them. These kids couldn't even become relatively more or less prosperous on the soccer field because having winners means having losers and these precious snowflakes have been told how wonderful and unique they are their entire lives and everyone has always come in first place. Only now, they're out in the real world. And the real world keeps score."

We had to take out loans so my wife could complete her education. She didn't get hired in her educated field for a few years but those loans still had to be paid.
If I remember right she had to sign her name to take out those loans and I do not remember anyone forcing her to do so. She is working in her field now and her loans are all paid off. This all happened because we took responsibility for our own actions and debts.
I look at these people who are out there soiling our cities and I see socialist, communist, worthless punks. I know from talking to friends that many others see then in the same light.
I guess they really do take after our president.

These guys from Pajamas Media are such geniuses, so funny, charming, and on-target. I do love them. But Bill Whittle is the best. As unpretentious and kind as he is brilliant. We are fortunate to have him playing on our team.

Got carried away, but I have a hard time apologizing for it.

That was the finest, absolute best summations of everything I have been trying to put into words for a few years now.

That said it all. I cannot tell you how gratifying it was to have someone just come out and state it in the most eloquent, clear and concise way.

Every year around Thanksgiving, I take the time to write a list of things I am thankful for. I have never been hungry in my life, but that doesn’t mean I don’t thank God that I can walk into a store and take things off of a shelf and pay cash for them to fill my stomach. I have never had to go for a month in the winter without taking a hot shower, but I feel lucky and fortunate every morning when I stick my hand in the shower stall, turn the knob and hot water comes out. I have never had to walk a great distance to get water, cart it back and purify it on my own to drink it (as long as camping in the Vermont woods doesn’t count) but I never take for granted that there are very few places in this great country of ours where you cannot just walk up to nearly any water tap you see and drink from it. I have never had to kill and eat my food to survive, but I am thankful beyond words that I am not forced to. (Doesn’t mean I won’t figure out a way to do it if I have to)

This guy Bill Whittle hit the nail on the head squarely. I apologize for my Freeper exuberance in posting multiple Bravo’s, but I won’t take it back!

That video was great!

Well, we could use God’s hand in this...:)

I thought it was brilliant, and frames the issue very well. The more who see it, the better. Thanks, Chode...
