His “empowering the states” line is a cop out to avoid really getting on record on some meaty issues. He side stepped the deportation issue and I don't blame him, now he wants to put the onus on the states to do the Feds job? Why not give a real plan of how he will do the Feds job. Because he really doesn't have a plan and if he goes on record to match his rhetoric he will have to stand by it. He would rather make speeches and hope no one notices the game he's playing.Perry has 5 million a month to spend and that is without getting any new donations. Perry aint going anywhere.

Yeah Mitt's fullback for sure.

he wont go on record for a full border fence or for deportation and he wants to pass the burden the Feds should be carrying to the statse to "do what the federal government can’t do and won’t do as far as dealing with illegals that are in the United States today.”

Hey Cain why dont you give them in state tuition so they can be productive citizens or at least their children of whom the states have been paying for for years to educate anyway. Since you wont deport or are you gonna pass deportation to the states?

”Why me and not Mitt Romney? Mitt Romney is a great businessman. I have a lot of respect for him. He has been more of a Wall Street executive. I have been more of a Main Street executive.”

And Rick Perry has been the Executive of the most successful state in the Union since the Obama recession.

If you watched Mr.Cain’s responses on foreign issues and you’re okay with them then we have differences far too large to solve here. I expect a candidate to know what “right of return” is. To know the underlying ideas of neocons so he can understand their strengths and flaws. I don’t expect him to admit to being unfsmiliar with the term. I expect a candidate who is asking for my vote to have an understanding of the wars in which we are engaged and some framework of ideas on how he will deal with them. Mr. Cain has not demonstrated that he has any plan to deal with the world. We elected one POTUS who had no experience or even concept of statecraft, I don’t think, with the world falling apart, that we can afford to elect another.

[Cain] once again brings up this group of experts, and has nothing substantive to say about what he would do in A’stan, Iran, Iraq et al.

I think it's great to have a candidate who is honest for a change, and doesn't bluff you into thinking he already has an answer for everything. Cain doesn't have access to the info a President would have to have before making decisions. When decisions are made rashly, you get disasters like WW1, or the Iraq invasion. As a former business executive, he knows you have to have briefings and work together with others.

When Perry was asked about Pakistan, he wandered off into irrelevant trivia about how India was our friend, etc. All bluster and blowing smoke.

I love Bobby J. he's taking on a very corrupt state, my brother lives there. He used to be considered a great guy around Free Republic until he backed Perry and now I guess he's a Rino too, but hey I heard some on FR say Jim Demint’s a Rino and when Palin endorses Perry, she'll be a Rino too.

Because he doesn’t know that now, what does it do to change anything having to do with it today? Nothing. In the military, a commander who thinks he knows everything or worse professes to, is more dangerous to his troops than the enemy. Any officer is only as good as his senior NCO’s.

I earned my position in my trade not because I could memorize a book three semesters before I intended to take the class. In some cases I did not take the class but Cleped it instead. I categorized what I needed to remember to quickly find an answer to a question. I don’t consider myself as “smart” but instead rely on my “smart books” to catalog the knowledge I need when I need it. And yes, even at 3:00 AM.

Immigration is not one of Cain’s strong areas. He only rates a C- from NumbersUSA. Michele Bachmann is the champion there, with a B-. But people seem to have deserted Bachmann; Perry’s candidacy served its purpose for the Establishment in that regard: divide the conservative vote with a faux conservative candidate.

LOL, so the 10 year governor of the biggest job creating state in the USA with 24 million people a 1200 mile international border should have sat on the sidelines so a Congressman from Minnesota could win? That is such a stupid argument. It makes no sense.

We have a congresswoman and a defeated Senator and ex Speaker of the house a businessman a guy who worked for Obama and a nutjob who runs for President every election, then we have Romney and the Governor of the reddest state in the Union and the most successful. You are delusional.

Like I said in my first sentence. Differences are far too large to be settled.

Geez, another one who “thinks” he knows everything. I am sorry for the burden you have to prove to yourself everyday and having to live up to being a legend in your own mind.

Not really, I just don’t suffer fools lightly.

I’ve been polite and civil through this discourse, but I guess since you don’t suffer fools lightly you find it hard to live with yourself.

OOOOOOOOO! So should I take my brain out now so we can start the slip fight on even ground, or would it be more productive to stick your head out the window to change your mind?

You really don’t want to get in a clash of minds with me. If we live nearby we could settle this physically. If you want to send me a message. Otherwise give it up, you’re fighting way over your weight.

Truth hurts huh? When all else fails, outsmart them with violence. You might want to sharpen that elistist point on the top of your head, it is getting a bit dull.

You wouldn't accept the answer that common sense habitually outsmarts know it all elitism so go cry somewhere else in your beer. Or would that be a latte?

Slow Day
