In a related story Prof. Spackler was removed from the project for placing a garden hose in Prof. Gopher’s car and filling it with water and other harassments.

Aren’t these the people Eisenhower warned us about?

Which if you’ve ever done brain tanned hides
you know why.

The most interesting thing I read about all this is ‘Book of the Sword’ by Richard Francis Burton.

Burton's book is a reference standard on the topic. Good choice. I would ping my sword ping list, but I'm on the wrong computer tonight and don't have it handy. Dang...

I looked at that link in reply 39, and saw the newly worked points. It is still a nice specimen.

I searched a bit and don’t see a lot of slamming.

I don’t doubt the tools - but the aging method/accuracy.

I note that at that site they commonly find “first ever” and “earliest” - so - two possibilities - they either are a lot of first evers and earliest - OR - dating is messed up, and “laters” are being dated as earlier.

I don’t see anyone agressively saying they have screwed up the site - so probably OK.

Simialrly - these discoveries in or near Israel of “ealiest man” - always need a tight loook. That said - if I were coming out of Africa - I’d build my summer hous ein Israel as well. So - it is n’t crazy - like say - Mongolia. (Or - to tie all the theads together - American Indians as a lost tribe of Israel.)

Looks solid.

Note: this topic is from 10/17/2011. Thanks again Red Badger.

Continuing my never ending tour of prehistory, I'm talking a look at the Aurignacian culture, that spanned Europe 35,000 years ago.

So many people to thank in this video (remember any mistakes are mine alone, nothing to do with anyone else)!

...Thanks to Dr. James Dilley for his insight into prehistoric tools:
Get his awesome accurate tools here!
His Youtube...

Thanks to Dr. Cosimo Post for agreeing to be interviewed about ancient DNA. Watch that here!

Thanks to The Histocrat for recording the quotes for me...

Thanks to Barris for the French transaltions (don't blame him for ziti and zezette though)

...Full list of sources can be found here *(anyone can view it, not only patrons)...

Disclaimer: Use my videos as a rough guide to a topic. I am not an expert, I may get things wrong. This is why I always post my sources so you can critique my work and verify things for yourselves. Of course I aim to be as accurate as possible which is why you will only find reputable sources in my videos. Secondly, information is always subject to changes as new information is uncovered by archaeologists.

Nope, I just excerpted the guy's "shortdescription" text. Also, you wouldn't hear me making that teadrinker distinction between "humans" and "NeandertHals".
