(CNSNews.com) - During the House floor debate on the Protect Life Act last week, Rep. Sheila Jackson Lee (D- Texas) defended abortion as a “needed action” and referred to the heartbeat of a fetus as a “sound”.
Voicing her opposition to the measure on Thursday, Jackson Lee referenced a previous Texas law, “Just as the courts ruled unconstitutional and upheld the provision of the Texas law that required a doctor to talk first to a woman seeking an abortion and to allow or force them both to listen, uh, to sounds that, uh, might discourage this needed action, this is going to be held unconstitutional. This is not a law that can pass,” Jackson said.
The ‘sounds’ Jackson Lee refers to are heartbeats that doctors and women hear during a sonogram.
Despite the Texas congresswoman’s efforts the Protect Life Act did pass the house as 15 House Democrats joined 236 House Republicans to pass the measure.
The legislation amends the Democrats’ Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act to prohibit federal funds from being spent on any health plan that includes coverage of abortion services.
The bill also provides conscience protections for health care workers who oppose abortion.
Why Congress is crowded with idiots like this is due to the fact that those who vote for rats like this don't have to pass an IQ test.
It has less to do with intelligence (a subject upon which you might wish to keep a lower profile) and more to do with incentives.
Dumba##es like this are a real danger because they believe thier educated and smarter than most and also hold high office and make decisions that effect educated people. We are living through a real bizzaro world where the freaks, misfits, mentally distrubed, criminals and the evil deviants are in charge. scary!

“A needed action” - a “needed action” is voting out Sheila Jackass Lee.
You’d have to redistrict in order to get her voted out.
Requiring rectangular districts would be a start.
Actually being conservative Im actually all for Genetic Testing AND Abortion.
My reasoning is that someday scientists be able to identify the “lib gene” and we can fully offer parents the chance to abort the child and start right.
In a way they are doing this already.. If you look at stats of who gets abortions, it is pretty much democrat consituency and they are systematically destroying their own voting base(about 50 million over last 40 years)..Probably why the need amnesty for illegals

When I hear her speak that is all I hear is “sound”; nothing intelligible.
I do believe in abortion up to age 15.
How would anyone know what an arsehole the young one would become until he/she became a teenager?
