To whom it may concern. I can’t run on fumes. If you like what I write or even if you just read it, sent a few halleluias my way. Even G-d has legions upon legions of angels who sing His praises each day. I’m just saying, me, pitiful little weak speck of dust blemished and shaded and bent and crooked that I am, can use a good word now and then.

Anyway that’s how I feel. In the dumps and lacking much internal fortitude, waiting to march behind funeral processions for lack of my own rudder and self-captain and such, per that opening page of Melville’s famous work. Blah. Bleech. Fwump. To use sound effects to describe the same feeling.

How does G-d do it? I mean even with all those Halleluias from the legions of angels, it still must get tough at times.

Okay I’ll accept bad words too. Lemons and lemonades. Blade fights stone to become sharper. Water fights rock and the rock becomes more-well rounded and all that.

study up before you comment on what mormonISM actually is.

Well svcw...that IS what the problem is with those who just haven't the will to do just that...therefore they see LDS as just another talking point about religion which mormonism is no. Even the mormon on the lowest level of the pecking order cannot see what he or she will face as they dive into those waters...so it's no surprise the average individual will not take the time to see further then the 'pretty pictures' mormonism paints throughout the web and their organization. and It's ALL a front!

Mormonism "dazzles" and "deceives" just as was done in the garden....and the American people are primed and ready to fall for anything which be-dazzles them instead of looking at the reality of how many entities in this country are bent on taking this country down a road it was never intended to go on by it's founders. Lds is one dangerous entity and few who dare to challenge it. It's just easier to let it pass....

... Just as people did with Obama and Jeremiah Wright's and Alinski's teachings, which formed his agenda and what we see playing out today so too will this nation see the affects of Romney's teachings and those who pulls his strings....and it will be too late if he gets the nomination.

I am tripping over the word “everything”.

In the examples that you gave of the homosexual or cohabiting individuals there must be some areas of their lives on which common values can be found. If there weren't some solid commonly shared values, these people would be physically dangerous to be around.

Well....The statement was, “I’m against everything the mormon church stands for, not the people.”

Saying that one is against **everything** in a particular religion but not the person, is like have a doll with a personality chip. A person who would say this is saying they love the lifeless doll but are against the electronic chip that drives everything the doll says and does.

Please note the word “everything”. Uh?...Really? If that were true then everyone in the cited religion would be not only spiritually dangerous but dangerous physically to one’s well being as well.

One’s religious beliefs, if they really believe them, are absolutely the fundamental essence of a person's core personality. Religious belief, (if committed to the religion), influences everything a person values, says, does, works for, promotes, strives for, establishes, etc. In other words religion **is** a person's worldview.

So...If someone is totally against **everything** in a particular religion then they would have to be against **everything** the composes a follower's total worldview and everything that makes the person who he fundamentally is.

For myself, I find enough commonly **shared** values in the religious beliefs of the people in my ordinary life that I get along with them. This is even true for the pagans and Muslims who used my health clinic before I retired.( Please remember that **values** are intimately connected to fervently held religious beliefs. )

By the way, there is a difference between having a person as a friend within one’s close intimate circle, and evangelizing work. There are people engaged in acts that are so evil or so stupid that it is wise to maintain emotional distance , not only to protect one’s physical safety, but also to maintain emotional and spiritual objectivity.

I gave two examples in a previous post: Democrats and government teachers. These two groups are, in my opinion, engage in behavior that is so evil and/or stupid that I no longer have them as friends and will not let them into my intimate circle of relationships. That does not mean that I have abandoned my efforts to bring them to the light.

Remember. We are commanded to love our neighbor. We are not commanded to like him or to be his intimate friend. Love, friend, and like are **not** one and the same.

Perry will be our next POTUS!!!

Not if the field narrows down to Newt and Perry....he'd not stand a chance against Newt in debates as we all well know...and it would take more than aweej-end retreat for Perry to come up even remotely to Newt. So I wouldn't be so quick to say Perry's got it in the bag...or any other candidate at this point...it's too early to say where the balls going to bounce.

I don’t watch the debates. They are a waste of time and money. We should be discussing among ourselves who we want for PTUS and Congress; not listening to a sham of debates.

Never heard much out of Perot either after he dropped out.

Oh; he hasn't done TOO bad... ;^)

With an estimated net worth of about US$3.4 billion in 2011, he is ranked by Forbes as the 99th-richest person in the United States.

(Look him up in WIKI)

The nebulous group of ANTI-mormons (as we are lovingly called) was being compared to the flying imam incident in the airport. It was ridiculous, of course, plus they misspelled imam to inman.

Since we always try to use slurs and diatribes against us in a positive manner; we adopted the Flying Inman (or Inmen) as our little club's title.

When someone occasionally REALLY steps in it; they get awarded the above.

I can’t run on fumes.

My wife says that is ALL I run on!

But Obama can just lay on his back and kick at Gingrich, like a tsunami wave only a foot deep can destroy much of a town. Obama will pour out words and words, each phrase sounding good, but no sentence making much sense and no paragraph making any sense at all.

With great descriptive skills as these shown here, you SHOULD get some Atta-boys tossed your way.

Perk up; tomorrow's a new day!

I speak from over 2 decades of experience with the mormon church. I’ve seen good and bad. But as far as eternal salvation goes, my belief is that there is nothing (everything) good to be found in the doctrines of mormonism as it relates to ones eternal salvation.

They are, of course, free to chart their own course. To ignore or dismiss. Not up to me to change their heart, only God can do that.

I can only follow that which I believe and know. I’ve found that the ENTIRE premise of the mormon church was founded upon a great lie and that many more were created from that one shoot.

Therefore, I have to toss ALL of it, even those small parts that may be good into the dustbin. Cannot lend credibility to even the smallest mote or it lends credibility to it all.

Done.

FRegards

But what does the Fair Tax or 999 or Flat Tax or any other "tax debate" we discuss have to say about the PRICE OF GOVERNMENT.

Absolutely nothing.

Those are two completely separate issues. That's why they have a "Ways and Means" (or taxation) Committee, and an Appropriations (or spending) Committee.

is ANY candidate proposing ANYTHING else to address the "how much" argument (total taxes vs GDP, etc.)?? AFAIK, the answer is no.

Actually the answer is yes, namely Ron Paul with 1 Trillion in cuts.
