Either that or Genghis Con (Obama - pun intended) is hoping to recreate the Ottoman Empire.
I thought he hated war; seems he just hates wars that benefit America.

If you make deals with the united states government they are not worth spit and getting your hand on nuclear weapons with a dead man trigger is the only safe option.

The killing of Qaddify and Osama suggests one thing to me: They were killed to keep them quiet, they should have been a treasure trove of information, some of it about the CIA, I’m sure, and it is that information that really got them killed..

Just cannot understand why people cannot see what happened here, the ragtags could not do anything, then a month later thousands poured out of the mountain, that knew how to use the weapons and drive tanks. Just wave the magic stick. No one ask where the professional solders came from .

Nah, I disagree. I think is tells them:
Dont endorse Obama, because if he wins, hell support, encourage and endorse the execution of you and your family.
Haha this^^— Atleast with Bush, it got you a flight out of the country to support terrorism another day. Obama is just an asshole to his fellow Muslims. Jusst straight up kills his brothers in Allah. What the hell did Gaddafi tell Reverend Wright to get this treatment.

Like Steyn, I think it teaches them to stay on the offensive.
Full steam ahead with the jihad. Go out guns a blazing like Butch and Sundance, or you'll find yourself dragged out of a whole in the ground and executed like a punk.
Might not be the lesson we want to teach, might not be any alternative, but that's how I'd read it if I was in charge of my militant little miserable islamic sand puddle.

I agree.
The French military gets a lot of grief her on FR. The problem is NOT the French military, they are quite professional.
The problem is the French politicians, but even they can be expected to ACT when French national interests are at stake.

Bambi always comes down on the side of the Islamists, and without denying the fact that Murbarak and Qadaffi were dictators, both of them were opposed by Islamist forces (who also wanted to set up dictatorships, but purely Islamic ones).
But the other thing I have noticed about this is that the US is now consistently opposing the rule of law and in a sense the existence of states. Obama has a great fondness for mob action, as we are seeing with the Occupy Whatever people, and I think he also regards the modern nation state, usually having a constitution and governed by law, as something to be stamped out. Like the thoroughgoing Marxist that he is, he is seeking to install the Marxist dream of the dicatorship of the proletariat (the mob, actually) throughout the world. I think his true goal is to reduce all ME countries to the status of Somalia, that is, simply to territories controlled by lawless bands of Muslim thugs.

Obama is also systematically removing any leaders of Muslim countries who were in any way tolerant of a State of Israel.

"Bernard Lewis said a few years ago that, in the Middle East, America risks teaching the lesson that she is harmless as an enemy and treacherous as a friend." Boy has this quote served to be prescient.

Our enemies will learn that we won’t touch any despotate, no matter how despotic, if it has A) nuclear weapons or B) is Cuba.

Syria is different than Libya. Which is why Obama isnt doing anything about it. Somehow, The Won has avoided in involvement in two Middle East uprisings -- Iran and now Syria. Both nominal enemies.
But gotten us involved in every other one -- all of them nominally on our side. And the Islamist movement benefitted from every one of them.
Wonder why the distinctions...???
